I've recently discovered this painter with the Eighth Tower Records, I 'm finding him again here though with a coupel years late.

Teaser for the new raison d'être studio album 'Mise en Abyme', out on Transgredient Records 2014. 

'Mise en Abyme' (placed into the abyss) is an inner katabasis journey to the most hidden and darkest parts of the Self. Conceptually the album contains ingredients from 'The Divine Comedy' by Dante or any similar stories/myths around the katabasis theme. Instead of being linked to religion, history or morality, 'Mise en Abyme' is purely a psychological and therapeutic trip to the underworld. But even in the most dark and chaotic places in the depths there are small shades of light, hope and understanding; one can be enlightened and purified in the return from an inferno.

The original drone is made from a field recording of a helicopter (and a bit of jiggery pokery!) the vocal sample is a time stretched sample that I chopped up and the rest is just me doing what I do. Svartsinn was asked to contribute a song for the desibel project which is a part of Norway's biggest festival "Øyafestivalen" in 2016. As I was already working on a new album I chose to make a track with a theme that could fit in with the album concept. This is the desibel project version of the song. A slightly different version will appear on the album.  The song image shows the speakers also known as Desibel. (The worlds biggest mobile speakers). Mastered by Simon Heath at Cryo Chamber.
