Good Soldier Svejk is Tom Cleaver, ably assisted by Y. John and whoever else happens to be around at the time. The name comes from the famous satirical novel by Jaroslav Hasek and the style mixes Electronica, IDM and Breakbeat-driven mashups with Folk, Vaudeville and Rockabilly. If that sounds too eclectic for one outfit then thinking of Svejk as songwriters/producers might make more sense.

Reviews-wise, we've received some small but enthusiastic write-ups from the good folk at Future Music Magazine and a nice 8/10 from Radio 1 for our "Here Comes Hell In A Handbasket" demo. DJ Dave Pierce even managed to pronounce "Svejk" correctly. (Rhymes with bake). 

Things went quiet for a while Cleaver concentrated on his Art career, reinvented himself as Dan Carver and wrote a novel (Ruin Nation, available from Amazon). Now we're back with a new sound combining live instruments, fractured electronica, cascasding organic percussion and anything else we can get our hands on.
