This piece uses the Perc, Trumpet, Piano Bells Harp and Solo Voice stems from the original piece. My ambition was to create my own alternate theme while still being grounded in the same thematic universe as the original theme by Mr. Zimmer (which is used as an introduction).

The first part uses the original trumpet theme with more melancholic harmonic variations compared to the original which is a little bit more heroic in nature. The bridge leading up to the main orchestral theme expands the melancholic harmonies using a full men's choir which was really fun to develop. The main orchestral theme is my own but uses the same rhythmic structure as the Zimmer theme. Using the chord progressions from the orchestral theme, the final parts are developed with a calm introduction that transcends into an uplifting beat that evolves into a vessel of infinity...

I sincerely want to thank Hans Zimmer and his team for making this competition a reality! It has been a truly unique inspirational experience for me and I hope you enjoy the final result.

"Memories of Wonder" is an invitation to rediscover the magic of the unknown and the beauty of fleeting moments. It evokes a sense of nostalgia and curiosity, where past and present blur into a dreamlike haze of forgotten legends, distant horizons, and unspoken emotions. It captures the feeling of standing at the edge of something vast and mysterious, where the air hums with stories yet to be told. Like a melody without words, it lingers in the mind—both familiar and new—stirring emotions that transcend time.

This music piece was primarily born from inspiration by exploring the Silka choir from 8DIO in early 2025.

Memories of Wonder

The original idea for this track came from a strange dream about watching a movie with a soundtrack similar to the intro part with some kind of laid-back bossanova style. The whole piece was developed over a rather long time period and finally finished and officially released in September 2015. Hope you like it!

Sven-Erik Ceedigh - Theme for Julia & Alexander

This is my very first attempt to compose a symphonic piece, influenced by Hollywood soundtracks and above all John Williams. With no formal training in orchestration, this composition was developed during a rather long period of time and finished in 2000. Most instruments are from my old KORG 01/W synthesizer which explains why the sound quality is not comparable with modern orchestral sound libraries.

Sven-Erik Ceedigh - Symphony For Valour

This track was composed over a long period of time (starting around 2006 and "finished" around 2009). It's dedicated to my niece who is half Thai and half Swedish (thus the asian influences). It's still to be considered unfinished (especially the last part is sketchy), but as I doubt I'll ever find time to finish it I might as well release it to the world as it is and hope someone likes it ... :)

This is a very personal piece for me as it was composed for and dedicated to my wife at our wedding in 2012. It was originally performed live for her for the first time at our wedding ceremony which was also the first time that I've ever played the piano for a live audience (!).

This recording is an unedited performance on the Synthogy Ivory II American Concert D.

Started composing using the original Soundtracker software on the Commodore Amiga around 1987. Formerly active as musician (handle/alias 'Elf') in the Amiga demo scene between 1991 to 1996. Have been playing piano/keyboards since before teenage. Currently only composing on rare occasions on my spare time for personal satisfaction. Mostly influenced by Classical/Soundtracks/New Age as well as Soul/Jazz/Fusion.
