Stupid Down The Resco

A «naughty packet of pleasure» is what the boys of Sver calls their second album «Fruen», saluting music, girls, party and life itself! From the depths of Norwegians folkmusic they have carved out a powerful wall of sound on their acoustic intruments. Energetically super-charged dance tunes mated with extrovert stage presence and humour has one sole purpose: hit  the tired everyday hearts and lift them into a state of exctasy! 

The cover of «Fruen» appears with a blend of modern wood-carvings, some romantic themes and  a good potion of savageness. The booklet contains 11 poems, bringing a new depth to the instrumental tunes. The vital label «Ta:lik» publishes the album, with legenday Knut Reiersrud as producer. 
        
The outﬁt consists of Hardanger ﬁddle/ viola/ﬁddle players Olav Luksengård Mjelva and Anders Hall, guitarist & mandola player Vidar Berge, accordionist Leif Ingvar Ranøien and percussionist Jens Linell. This is a lovely collection of some of the best folkmusicians around. Sver’s repertoire draws on inspiration from the traditional music of the mountainous Røros area in central Norway. Additional impulses from the culturally rich regions of Hallingdal and Hardanger can also be traced in Sver’s cornucopia of vital dance music. The last years, Sver have toured festivals in Norway, Sweden, UK, Portugal, Russia, Germany and Polen, experiensing that Norwegian instrumental folktunes can appeal to all kinds of audiences. On stage, Sver reveals its passion for music with a intense performance, while the audience jumps, dances, claps and laughs. A naughty packet of pleasure!
