The remanence of a destructive relationship echoes in SVM’s latest release, Back2U. The record tells a story of a toxic relationship where both parties are hurt and vindictive from a previous relationship, yet refuse to part ways. Written and Performed by SVM, she recalls inspiration for Back2U came from short lived situation-ships that are rushed and ultimately doomed from the start. A story we are all too familiar with, the lyrics take a turn when she takes the power back by taking accountability, forgiving, and finally moving on. 

The track includes beats by Southern California’s Tuomo Korander and Tommi Vatanen AKA BigBadBeats. Back2U was recorded in San Diego and mixed by Anton Loonch, later mixed at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles by Nate Haessly. The record was finished and mastered by Silverback Audio.
