Compelling. Sounds lush and springy. The vocals are textural enough that is leaves a lot to the imagination, and that's a good thing.

The Ugly God lyric "you say i ain't shit, bitch i'm Ugly God I'm well known" is really referring to the fact that the detestable acts of God, or the "ugly" things that God does i.e. natural disasters, pestilence, or most people at Walmart, are often on display for the entire world to see, and usually receive more publicity than the acts of god that can be considered good

the lyric "man-made like a dike" is drawing forth the idea that God, be he Ugly or otherwise, is a construction of man, designed and built for a purpose, much like a dike. Tn that line he's also referring to the mistranslated version/alternate interpretation of Genesis, where instead of Eve being created from the rib of Adam it is the other way around while simultaneously talking about the shameful creations that humanity created prior to the Great Flood

Ugly God, being admittedly imperfect, understands that humans are also as such, so he can't shun the idea of carnal pleasures but rather suggest that there are better alternatives to a degree he perhaps thinks of sin as a spectrum where jacking off isn't that bad but like, killing somebody would be pretty frowned upon which sort of parallels the catholic church with all that indulgence shit, but it's not like he's telling you to ask forgiveness

With Desiigners career based solely on hit singles with no real substantial lyrical value besides saying the song title more often than other words, such as 'Panda' and 'Timmy Turner', it is easy to see where he pulls inspiration from for his new release, 'Holy Ghost'.

Considering he pretty much has no more than 4 lines total in every song he has ever created, it is important to try to understand why. Just a brief analysis of any line out of ‘Holy Ghost’, will lead to even the most plebeian rap aficionado to draw the same obvious conclusion. Desiigner is a man of strong spiritual beliefs. In the line, “Ride in the drop, that’s that holy ghost”, he is referring to his weekly drive to Sunday mass, where he Is relieved of his sins from the weekend of binge drinking, smoking way too much weed, and inevitably doing 6 to 8 lines of ketamine and then realizing that he needs to improve his life and vocabulary (although the word vocabulary is not in his vocabulary), and the only way to do so, is to repent. Following along with the lyrics, “Holy shit, do the holy ghost / Holy shit, cause I’m holy rich”, is his time of enlightenment sometime between hour 2.5 and 3 of the preacher saving everyone on stage and removing the devil. Desiigner clearly wants this life of good and wants to save himself for god himself, so while he reflects upon his riches he realizes that there is a higher power that has motivated him to empower his life and do good.

As he leaves the church a better man, he, as all morals who are Christian do, still has a sentimental attachment to his belongings. He probably should’ve chosen Buddhism if he really wanted to become a better person tbh. This is reflected in his next lyric “I’ma drive in the Lamb, watch them take a pic”. Clearly he is too attached to his personal belongings such as food and drugs and money as seen in the lyric “Hold on, I grab the toast, I'm sippin' on codeine, I feel like I overdosed, I shoot up like morphine”and cannot stop flexing, so he drives around the church parking lot slowly showing off his Lamborghini. As he drives by the honeys and hoes that also go to church for similar reasons, the impact of the following line can be found. “I skrt on that ass, ‘fore you take the flick / I’ma fuck Rihanna, put her all in Desiigner”, is a sad sign of what it to come, which is never actually learning the lessons taught in the bible, specifically in Matthew 6, “When you do good deeds, don't try to show off.”. He clearly does not have enough intellect to retain the material taught and just continues to go into his same old ways, leading into a recursive decline of sex, money, drug abuse, and flexing instead of being selfless. In one last hopeful attempt to gain some value out of his weekly Sunday excursion to church, he calls out to god in a prayer, “Diamonds last forever, last forever / We gon’ blast together”, knowing that the lord is watching over him and falsely thinking that he is doing the right thing. He seems happy and understanding of the world with this final lyrical analysis of his line, “Feel light as a feather, Hey, this the real”.
