The next Deep Mind Music mix is a recording of the set I played in Croatia as part of Austrian collective @femdex’s 8 hour showcase at Lighthouse Festival on the 2nd of June 2019. Thanks to femdex for the invite 💓

I was playing on the Sunday evening, in one of the last sets of the 5 day festival. The ambient floor was set up in a clearing of the forest next to the sea. I’d always prefer to listen to ambient and drone outside, so I’m super grateful to have had the opportunity to play this music in such an idyllic setting. Looking up to see birds drifting over trees, with leaves rustling in the wind was pretty magical.

I feel like this set operates on a deeper and more cerebral plane than my other DMM mixes, designed for tired festival goers to zone out on the cushions under the trees, drifting in and out of consciousness.

I took this photo watching the sunset over the sea after my set.

Also, the first track of this set by @tarot-plane is going to be part of a forthcoming project I’m currently working on, so keep an eye out for news about that in the near future 👁
