Swamp Donky was formed a few years ago by a group of guys that have individually been playing music longer than they haven't played music. Two brothers, Eric and Leif Shively, have been playing guitar and singing together their entire life. Being from the same neck of the woods as the other members of what we now know as Swamp Donky, it didn't take long until the guys all started rubbing musical elbows and jamming together on and off through the years.. Eric and Leif joined forces with Jesse Eason and Greg McHam in 2011 and started an all acoustic project, playing they're brand of deep rooted North Louisiana, back porch, hoof stompin', down to earth music that put a smile in their souls.. It wasn't long until the song writing began and opportunities started coming their way. Sticking to their roots and their work hard, play hard attitude, Swamp Donky has been blessed to be a part of raising money for SMA research and other fund raising events for some wonderful kids. Their original songs are now being featured on Fun Radio 92.7 in regular rotation and have even gained some attention form cast members from Swamp People and Duck Dynasty. It was a real treat for the guys to learn that 'Liz from Swamp People actually called to request one of their songs! 
2013 brings the Swamp Donky circle to completion with a fifth member, drummer Kevin Davis.. Now, as a full electric band, Swamp Donky will be heading to the studio to record their second album. Keep up with their new releases on Reverbnation, FaceBook and itunes. Also, tune in to Fun Radio 92.7 and be listening for some Swamp Donky.. It'll just make ya feel good!
