After Alex Lynch's homonym cover band project, in 2010 Event Horizon start writing their own music with a temporary lineup, but with Lynch himself on the lead guitar and Percy on the vocals and rhythm guitar as the two main fulcrums. In 2012 Rocco joins the band as the stable bass player and the tracks undergo a severe arrangement process that leads to the recording of their very first demo. Giò from Spanking Hour hooks up with Event Horizon as the main guest drummer in the early months of 2013 and plays all the drum parts on the demo.
