Good to know the Mike Baker translation is still around. Baker, a university educator, was forced to leave the GDR due to his agitation activities. He met Joe Thomas, a labour activist working as a printer for the Guardian newspaper.  They formed the Movement for Workers' Councils. I joined them a little later. But we never gained much traction. Six months after publication the group no longer existed, and it wasn't long after that Mike Baker died. The best that can be said about the Mike Baker translation (from the German) is that it is an enthusiastic amateur effort at a time there was no English translation. Mike was quite ill, and  we felt it imperative to get it out.  But to be honest other translations are likely to be more accurate.
