Swamptown formed in 2011 when Gary wright Laurie wilson and Jim pople came together to busk gospel and country songs during the brighton festival.  Their stripped back arrangements exposing the beauty of male voice in harmony driven by cajon, guitar and percussion has taken them to festivals, pubs and clubs all over london and the southeast, in this time of folk and roots revival in the mainstream Swamptown's unique sound holds a raw soulful place.
