And so your tale begins.
Strumming and humming.
In the back of your mind.
Never leaving, never wavering.

Will you ever forget?
Blood.

02. Anti-Effervescence

The mushrooms' tendrils shoot forth.
They dig deep into your arm.
The pain is excruciating.
You hear a voice echo inside your skull.

> Vadrisk.
> You poor, poor fool.
> You have lived a life of sin.
> Your inner pain.
> Your inner torment.
> A waste of breath.
> "A waste of flesh."
> "Now, you shall descend."
> "Descend beyond the gates of the underworld."
> "And you will pay for your every sin."

You feel your body being ripped apart.
You struggle to escape.
You struggle to pull away.
But it was to no avail.

With your last dying breath, you gaze up at the icy sky above.
And then, everything fades to black.

03. Vadrisk's Inferno

You slowly come to consciousness within a spacious, echoing cavern.
Strange black shapes and forms vaguely resembling that of man and beast drift around you.
An inky black river stretches out over the erratic, crumbling landscape.
You feel something tugging at your heartstrings.
It seems you must proceed.

*I'd like to become even MORE irresistable please! I know it's hard because I'm already so charming, but I believe in you!

*Kid, we've been OVER this. If I want any control over him, he has to sign a contract as well.

*What?? But you're magic! Can't you do anything?

*Why are you even interested in this guy, anyway?
