prolly the last time I'm gonna complain about this au cause this generally sums up what i think of it: this feels like they had cool ideas for like 1-2 areas and then thought "why not make a full au instead of just that?" because like. this is so much more interesting than the previous areas and roles.it actually has a cool concept instead of being the most generic implementation of the role possible. plus the music gets weirdly good in comparison to before here so that's cool.

Another Eldartune re-up, but sticking with the theme I mentioned in the description of the last post. Hehehe. I'll get to 'em all eventually, I just wanna pace it a bit.

Track Trivia:
--- I didn't really imagine an AU for this besides "King Sans".
--- The Bergentrückung motif at the beginning has no real significance, I just thought it'd be neat. The Heartache motif signifies the bond he has with Toriel. The Friendship motif signifies, well, friendship! It's also a little extra tidbit to show he doesn't want to fight, but feels obligated to. The Dating Start and Bonetrousle signify Snowdin as well as Papyrus. There's also Waterfall but that's kinda just in there for spice, for flavour.
--- The slower pace and less intense vibe are meant to symbolize his ambivalence to having to fight you. And I just think a more lax track works well for Sans.

This track serves as the main enemy encounter theme during the genocide route. This kicks in after the Ruins, after monsters have already been alerted of your presence and your actions, and have started preparing to kick your ass.

As the monsters start to catch wind of the path you've taken in the Ruins – thanks Chara – some monsters decide rather than run, they're going to do all they can to take you out before you can take them out. This group of monsters is known as The Gauntlet of Deadly Terror, inspired by their glorious king. While not everyone particularly took to the idea, with most of them just deciding to flee the scene, some braver monsters stay behind with the hopes of putting a stop to it.

Since the remaining battle themes represent the Ruins, Waterfall and Hotland in their thumbnails, I figured this one might as well use some Snowdin enemies. The new enemy is a bunny monster based on the little bunny on a leash, aptly named Bunbun. Clearly the scariest of all monsters.
