Anjunadeep’s Explorations series returns with the highly anticipated ‘Explorations 08’. This edition plays host to five label debutants, whilst warmly welcoming back Tim Engelhardt and David Hohme.

The compilation opens with the original and instrumental mixes of Tim Engelhardt's and Lazarusman’s eccentric vocal-house track ‘This Life’. Moving from rhythmic claps for swirling synths, next up is Enamour's ‘Ruby’. First heard in the ABGT300 Deep Set, ‘Ruby’ marks an immense label debut for the American producer. Next, David Hohme & Dustin Nantais combine for 'Onward Only’ - a sweet vocal-led track of swelling synths. Closing out the compilation is the tribal ’Native Therapy’, a luxuriant arrangement of jungle sounds and deep subs by debutants Zone+ & M.O.S.

The beaked being returns with the third in the series of Fantast remix EPs, once again offering a collection of dancefloor-focussed reworks from some of his current favourite producers.

The third chapter features reinterpretations from former Trouw resident Patrice Bäumel and Off Recordings mainstay Simion. 

In an album campaign that has already seen remixes from Franky Rizardo, NiCe7, Super Flu, Tensnake, David Penn, Pirupa, Cassius, Lee Foss, Catz N’ Dogz, MK and Lindstrom, Mihalis Safras, Eagles & Butterflies & Prins Thomas, the third EP has maintained the momentum and picked up where the first left off. 

Claptone is a unique proposition in modern music. Painted as a mythical character shrouded in mystery, Claptone has become one of the biggest names in electronic music whilst himself remaining in the shadows. He has however constantly sought to deepen his own distinctive world, creating a rich tapestry, which tells the Claptone story.

In his second artist album ‘Fantast’, the Claptone universe is at its deepest and most vivid. He is the master of his domain and in his most artful offering yet, the assured 13 tracks of 'Fantast' come together to create an album full of varied colours and atmospheric textures.

In music Claptone seeks not to create a world of secrecy, but one of great depth and intrigue. An enigma with a tireless desire for creativity and thirst for new music, Claptone has brought together a diverse group of collaborators such as Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke, Blaenavon, Tender, Jones, Zola Blood, Austra’s Katie Stelmanis, The Boxer Rebellion’s Nathan Nicholson, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Joan as a Police Woman and Matt Simons.  

'Over the last two years it has been a great pleasure to work on this album as a counterpoint to the hectic world of travelling as a DJ. To lose myself when making music, to dive into and create my very own realm of beauty. I admit it's a dreamy, a heartfelt, at times a naive and surely escapist album, but what to do if one - on the quest for his soul - develops a strong desire to go back to his roots, back to nature? Did I find myself on that journey? Rather not. But I found some beautiful moments in the green, out in the woods, out in the fields, under the moon and in the night, moments, which I want to share with you. And there is one thing I learned and now it can be told, I am and have always been a ‘Fantast’.'

We caught a glimpse of his ambition to produce a body of work in Claptone’s debut artist album 'Charmer' which has scored over 60million streams and counting, but it’s in 'Fantast' that Claptone really delves deeper into the art of songwriting.

Enamour and Rinzen, two extraordinary DJ-producers who were elected to be apart of Mixmag's MAGNIFIED team, have come together to create 'Quark' - a larger than life dancefloor weapon that drops on May 3 via Yoshitoshi's forthcoming EP compilation, 'Four Points III'.

Here is what both artists had to say about this killer collaboration.

Rinzen: "Quark was born out of a studio session in Venice Beach, and captures both mine and Enamour's love of analog synths. The track has been a huge moment in both our sets for the past few months and we're so happy to finally get it out with the amazing Yoshitoshi."

Enamour: "Quark is the product of two mad scientists locked in a studio on a summer afternoon in Los Angeles. Four hands on a Moog Sub 37, endless tweaking, dozens of takes, and it was born. After a couple of back-and-forths over Splice, we had ourselves a track. The biggest struggle was probably going through all of the takes to find the best parts and then limiting ourselves to using only a few in order to let the groove breathe and keep listeners on their toes. It's been a highlight in most of my sets the past six months so I'm excited to finally share it with other DJs across the globe!"

This summer sees Lisbon-based producer Aiiso return to the label with two enchanting singles previously heard on Anjunadeep 10, ‘City Lights / Programmer’.

Making his return to the esteemed Mobilee Records imprint,
the eclectic French producer Rodriguez Jr. offers up a pure and passionate two-tracker titled 'Malecón Azul' - set to drop on July 19.

Ahead of its release, Mixmag has locked in the EP's expansive and airy title track for a premiere.

"Normally it begins in the studio, but these tracks come straight from the road, from the heat of the audience and the fluidity of the live performance," Rodriguez Jr. explains. "They’re filled with the energy they collected on tour. 'Malecón Azul' captures the intense and unique experience of being under the sun, in front of the sea, in a faraway place that feels like home."
