We ask four Cape Town sex workers (one of which is a man) whether their perceptions of their own sexuality has changed since they started doing sex work.

They also talk about their relationships with their own partners, picking up clients, their "special expertises", and sex worker rights.

For many men and women V-Day also incorporates gender-based violence campaigns, and extreme loneliness amongst the chocolates and teddy bears. It is important to acknowledge all facets of this day and incorporate all women's stories that may not include the happily ever after.
