Selfserve Outlaw

Bowls Club is the first single off Sweats second EP. It was recorded on a low budget at a friends warehouse and incorporates guitar and vocal layers, a different take to their first tape recorded EP. Sweat are appropriately promoting their Bowls Club love anthem track on tour at local bowls clubs around WA after the main launch at Fremantle’s dingy but beloved Buffalo Club. Sweat has become a staple of Perth’s punk scene and embrace their all female lineup.

“I Don’t Care” is the new single from Perth’s punk-rock and sport- loving foursome, SWEAT. Following the release of pub-favourite “Bowls Club”, this is the second single to be released before their upcoming EP in October 2023.
Made for all those who have had to put themselves through online dating and survived to tell the story - “I Don’t Care” is a blistering scream of frustration at bad dates full of boring conversations about men’s podcasts and gym routines. You asked for loud and fast – and SWEAT has delivered.

Red Wave

Dropping in hot pursuit of their self-titled debut, SWEAT's newest EP "Blood n Tears" is a punk-infused, garage-inspired collection that's as relatable as it is bold. With a tongue-in-cheek approach, these tracks invite you to embrace the ups and downs of life with a rebellious grin.

Inspired by the everyday absurdities of existence, "Blood n Tears" embodies a down-to-earth, relatable vibe. From disastrous dates, the joy of menstruation, accidental public mishaps, and yes—even The Spice Girls, this EP delivers a refreshing and unapologetic feel. Lead single "Bowls Club" took the airwaves by storm, receiving spins on Triple J & RTR FM, and even earning a WAM nomination—a testament to the EP's infectious energy and raw appeal.

"Blood n Tears" marks a departure from tape to digital for SWEAT, allowing for layered guitar riffs and unabashed harmonies. Recorded and mixed by Sam Rocchi (known for his work with Cosy and Noah Dillon) and mastered by Mitch McDonald (from The Love Junkies), the EP boasts a professional yet edgy sound.
The creation process wasn't without its quirks—over two days, the band set up shop in an abandoned garden centre, where the idea of separate "Blood" and "Tears" EPs was playfully suggested. However, they opted to dive headfirst into the pun and condense the chaos into one explosive package.

Looking ahead, the band is excited to keep the momentum rolling into 2024 with more music in the works. For SWEAT, "Blood n Tears" isn't just an EP; it's an invitation to embrace and celebrate life's absurdities with a punk attitude, finding solace in knowing it's okay to let loose and not take things too seriously—even if that means occasionally embracing a public mishap in your pants.

SWEAT is fresh to the field, forming in early 2022 with members from ConArt, The Psychotic Reactions, & Happenings.

This Walyalup based quartet of sport loving punks are renowned for their tongue-in-cheek and energetic earworms. Their songs about sport, kebabs and bowls clubs are pleasantly paired with a high energy krautrock rhythm section with screaming nu-wave style guitar, all fronted by Rosemary, the future queen of sport fashion.

The band has supported acts such as Vintage Crop, Cosmic Psychos, Gaffer, Clamm, and The Black Lips and have played local festivals like WAM Fest, Way Way West, RTR’s Winter Music Festival & Hidden Treasures. 

SWEAT released their Debut EP in June 22’ with it earning RTR FM’s Feature Album along with two places in the stations top 100 that year. To finish off a big year in 2023, they released a second EP titled ‘Blood n Tears’, with lead single "Bowls Club" taking the airwaves by storm, receiving spins on Triple J & RTR FM, and even earning a WAM (West Australia Music) nomination—a testament to the overflowing support from fans, industry and fellow musicians. 

SWEAT continue to create and release dolewave garage bangers, with 2024 looking at multiple single releases, a state tour, and the drop of their debut album.
