Sweatbox Records hits the home base with the label debut of Malaysian- hailing RIMKA. “ Budaya” means “ Culture” in Malay language and it signifies the evolution of music in the 60 years + independent nation. A resident DJ of The Sweatbox parties, she identifies through the use of ethnic elements in her sets and we say no less about her productions: The result is a melodic groover with colorful synth lines and a rather unique use of rare samples of Malaysian traditional instruments  – the  Kompang and and the Seruling.The Kompang is a popular percussion instrument that is commonly played at weddings as an ensemble. It is played in an interlocking rhythmic pattern to accompany choral singing. The Seruling is a small Malay flute made out of bamboo. It’s been much debated as to whether the Seruling was the first Malayan Instrument as it was commonly used among the indigenous tribes (earlier Malays or Proto-Malays who inhabit the jungles). The feel of “Budaya” is like a serene trip to a green, lush jungle.

Rodaq's Dentation EP delves into the moodier and equally sensual side of techno , as deep and compact as the vibe at Berlin's coolest parties. Dentation is a spatial release. The riffs and melodies layer together in a big, propagating way , creating the feeling of being on top of a mountain. Echoes are perfectly used giving the track a lot of space to develop  however the eerie subtlety . Capercut takes on a much darker, journey oriented side , maintaining the loopy synth, adding softness to the story and further building in a stripped down pattern of ever evolving melodic elements.

Shades of Deep , Sweatbox Records' second compilation focuses on the deeper side of music and the art of vibe building , regardless of the genre. The 8 tracks included are great dance floor builders meant to be played in earlier sets or as closing tunes.
Satoshi Fumi's debut on the label brings a fresh approach to deep house and the dreamy, classic vocal sample in “Lovely Sensation” ties up the melodies in a feel-good understated energy. Loco Dice's remix of Mousse T's “Toscana” is reminiscing of the daytime parties in Detroit whereas Marco Loco's “Good Morning” makes a great after party closing track. Sabb's “Motherlove”-solid and memorable adds unique drums and strings sequences . Fictiv's “Le Mistere” as the track name suggests it, adds a dose of melancholy accentuated by the sassy vocals and the layering of rhythms. Both Eva's “Reborn” as well as Circuitbreaker's “ Natural Pattern” shifts the focus from deeper rhythms to a more melodic approach without losing the essence . 
Shades of Deep 's common theme – groovy and deep, dance floor building rhythms, also has a common purpose- to deliver a bouquet of timeless tracks.

Eddie Richards' debut on Sweatbox Records brings us 2 cuts of tech timeless goodness. Projects started in 2003, Danger & Latinoz reminisce of an afterparty rave with sweaty walls and a heaving dance floor; they are finally seeing the light of day on this special EP and they sound as fresh as ever . Danger is a downright afterparty starter brimming with converging energy , daring pads and old school strings added for good measure. Latinoz is a delicious ear worm with a touch of exotic vocals and trippy loops. 90's Kid is about a playful combination of 90's synth pads, straight forward percussive elements and a vocal reminiscing of exactly that era. It's the sharp tambourine element that resembles a band practice session a couple of decades ago is what makes the track interesting.
Raff Track comes in with a deeper and a more 'serious' approach of the original, replacing rhythm with melody and the punchy vocals with an epic build up. The synth work in the remix gives the track a completely new feel summed up by an understated, driving energy concluded with an equally epic drop.

Kuma's debut on Sweatbox Records provides a lighthearted approach with some simple, old school tech house vibes. Versatile in its simplicity, both “ Dani's Groove” and “ On My Way” are meant as energy layers within a set. Somewhere between being DJ tools and stand alone songs, they are reminiscing of the holiday season in Asia and dancing barefoot in the sand at a Full Moon party under the starry sky. The random vibes, the fun percussion, the dubby rhythms are all reflected in this lighthearted  release.
