Dust Yard is a french DJ and producer based in Nantes, who started music at a very young age with a classic training in piano and guitar. He has been producing electronic music for more than a decade now, delivering Deep Tech House to Minimal Dub tracks that have been released on reference labels such as Berg Audio, Bondage Music, Organic Music, Zingiber Audio, ODT Records… and are played by artists like Archie Hamilton, Andrey Pushkarev, Janeret, Traumer, Arapu, Harrison BDP… just to name a few. This new ‘Imagine EP’ is a deep, dreamy and minimal set of tracks, with a touch of groove and subtle melodies, fitting perfectly with Simple Things Records universe.

1976年大阪府出身。2001年初頭に自身にとってのファースト・アルバム 『SILICOM』をリリースして以来、LIVE, DJ、楽曲制作を中心に国際的な活動を続 ける。2004年~2011年はヨーロッパに拠点を置き、2011年に帰国。国内外のアー ティストのremix, プロデュース、ミキシングも担当。Bun/Fumitake Tamuraとのユ ニットNeutralでの活動も進行中。写真家としても活動。

AOKI takamasa was born in 1976 and raised in Osaka, JP.
Since releasing his first album, SILICOM, in 2001, he’s worked internationally as a producer, live performer, and DJ.
Between 2004-2011, he was based in Europe before returning to Japan in 2011. Since then he has done several remixes for both international and domestic artists, undertaking the production and mixing as well.
He is currently part of the unit Neutral along with Bun/Fumitake Tamura. He also works as a photographer.

2.コンセプトがあれば教えてください。
自分の前にプレイしていたAtsuki君のDJの熱量をいただきながら、それをブースターにオーディエンスのノリを出来るだけキープしながらフロアを少し盛り上げて、次のAkufenのDJセットへ良いパスが出来るように意識しました。


3.最近の活動を教えてください。
ルーマニアの新レーベルVHS Recから2019年５月１日に６年ぶりの新作”Internally Combusted”をヴァイナルでリリースしました。

Vlad offers a dark minimal opening, in an ocean of textures and tiny details. Supported by efficient basslines, a Slavic vocal mesmerize the listener. It’s only then that a shift in the mood occurs, drifting to groovy rominimal tracks and high-energy dream sequences. For all the duration of the journey, the artist carefully oscillates between light tracks and darker joints in a powerful combo. At times, we shiver with nasty laughs and creepy monk chants that recall occult ceremonies. We find the light again with stellar driving joints, and it goes on and on, with a cool human feeling in the mixing. The ending fades away on an abstract flavour that keep the mind in a meditative state for a moment.
