After a short break we are back with a new episode and this time we proudly present the future of Swedish Hardstyle!! 

Hampus J is just a 13-year-old boy, who breathes Hardstyle thru and thru. He loves to listen to it, but he also loves to produce his own tracks as we will hear in this episode. He started to produce not even a year ago so he´s pretty new in the business. 

Hampus started to like Hardstyle from the day he was born, as his dad has always played the genre in the background of his whole life.

Hampus DJ-name is DJ Knäckebröd, which in English means “crispbread” or “Swedish cracker”. 
His favourite producers are Avi8, Wasted Penguinz, Da Tweekaz and Blutonium Boy, just the mention a few.

It's been three years since Avicii sadly passed away, just 28 years old. His music will always remain and everything he has meant for the electronic music scene. 
Normally we publish our episodes on Wednesdays, but this week we made an exception.

Tommie Örtefors - or mr Tommy Voz - joined us in Episode XLVIII in early December, where he brought us one hour of Tech House with hints of Festival and Techno!
During that time Tommie mentioned he was working on a Avicii mix and asked if we were interested in publishing it on our channel. We thought about it, and hesitated for a while, because we felt that maybe mainstream-EDM wasn´t the right thing for us.
After some thought, we felt that there was really nothing to hesitate about.

Tommie has made a fantastic tribute to Avicii with 27 songs in this mix. 

Even if this day brings sadness, one can not help to feel an extra pride for Sweden!

Let us present Linnéa, a 27-year-old woman from Falkenberg but who in recent years lives in the heart of Helsingborg. She has participated in a huge number of different raves during the years. The great love is the music, and nothing can come in between.

As LissGaia she is a darktrance/hardtechno djane that has been active as a DJ since spring 2020. She had her first gig during New Year’s Eve the same year at the Sound and Vision-event arranged by BiJA, where she played heavy forest trance and cocky techno.
When she started DJ´ing LissGaia finally understood her calling in life and why she becomes one with the music on the dancefloor. She just loves to spread positive energy to those who dance to the tones that flowes from the speakers. Skåne wanted her services and LissGaia is now a resident DJ at BiJA.

Before Liss started DJ´ing, she has been involved in music production and played in a few bands.
She is also a trained medial mentor and certified reiki healer since 2016, as she has great faith in the universe and its gifts. With the deepen knowledge and skills, with purer energies it becomes more sacred and loving during the gigs.

In addition to music and medial, Liss affirm her artistic vein by painting and building things where she lets the art take root to become more alive.
She comes from an artist family where both parents and siblings are creative and musical, which has been fun to experience.
During a DJ-set she is happy to express the love and passion. This is where the magic takes place when the music is hard, noisy and dark with elements of psychedelic tones and shades of filthy bass lines. 

When LissGaia puts on  a playlist at home, it can be everything from industrial techno and uptempo, to darkpsy and death metal.

We had the pleasure of having Tom in our Episode XLIV on November the 4th last year. Back then he made one hell of a Goa Trance-mix for us.
This time around he is presenting his hardest mix to date. Besides Goa, Tom is a sucker for Hitech and we hope that you are ready for this. In this episode it all starts at 180 BPM and finishes in 207 BPM! 

Tom has always had a dream of performing in front of people. That's why he without any thinking started to DJ when Covid-19 came around. With roots from underground punkrock/hardcore, it comes as no surprise that Hitech is something that he couldn´t resist.
He has already played at different parties in Stockholm, and Värmland but is picking up some pace for his career as the gigs come more and more frequently now.

The hard music is for him a way to express his feelings towards people who take authority over other human beings. When someone is listening to a mix made by Ancap, it's not seen as listening to the music, but more of listening to the “hidden message” in the music.  
You will never really know what is being served at the menu other than high energy dancing and power when Ancap is the chef, because he plays so many different styles of psytrance and techno.

Episode LXVII: Nechronic - Rave The Xmas II

You might remember N3RON from our Episode XIV, that was released in February two years ago.

N3RON is proud member of Swedish Rave Society, and more importantly - he also is a very talented tech-trance DJ and producer, who lives in Örebro.

Kim’s interest in electronic music started when he heard L.A. Styles “James Brown Is Dead” for the first time and it quickly moved on with 2 Unlimited´s first album with classic hits like “Workaholic”, “Magic Friend” and “Twilight Zone”. He soon realised that his real fling was the trance scene and all its genres.

But Kim started his career as a DJ by playing hardstyle under the name Kimzza. But after some years he changed the name to N3RON, as he went back to his roots and the music he loved dearly in his younger years: trance.

N3RON has played several times for some of the largest organizers in Sweden, like Monday Bar and Deztination. He has also featured for the local organizer Club Undersound.

Ooooh, and he still has a thing for pineapples!

You might recognise this man? He was our guest in Epsiode LVIII, which was published on May the 26th last year.
So once again, give it up for Jakob and his DJ alias J?K, who will bring you one hour of mad stomping techno.

Jakob lives way down in the south of Sweden and in the third biggest capitol Malmö. He is a resident DJ and crew-member at the underground organization UG3. Don´t be surprised to find him in the dark woods located in Skåne County.

As long as Jakob can remember, techno has been a big part of his life. He wants to start from the beginning ´til the unknown, and do so by listening to something.
He plays on a Traktor controller, the S5 and loves to get the dancefloor going with heavy, industrial, dark techno (PeakTime/Driving). But occiaionally you can hear a lot of trance and other genres in his mixes.

Jakobs favourite music stems from darkness and chaos. Big influences that he looks up to are Dandi & Ugo, Angy Kore, Jan Fleck, Hidden Empire, Niereich and Hackler & Kuch. Artists Jakob would like to call legends!
This is music which makes him dance and escape from reality for a few hours to a place he keeps warm to the heart.

We are back and why start slowly? Get ready for some heavy techno beats with lots of 303 - presented by Micke Oxus!

Micke was born in Poland in 1976 and moved to Sweden as a 10-year-old kid. Today he lives in Stockholm with his own family.

The interest for mixing started at that time. His cousin was a graffiti painter and a hiphop-DJ, and had turntables at home. Micke listened to a lot of hip and triphop released on labels such as XL Records.

When Micke attended his first rave in 1993, he totally fell for electronic music. At that time, you either had to attend a underground rave or visit the local recordstore, to be able to listen to this kind of music. Micke was a well-known customer at the store, as he bought many of his first records.

Around 1994, as a 18-year-old, he bought a 2-channel mixer and two Technics SL-1210 turntables. He started to learn his mixing techniques at home and soon started to arrange smaller private parties with his friends.
The reputation started to grow and he got gigs both in Sweden and around the globe, in countries as Poland, Hungary, old Jugoslavia, Germany, England and Australia.

Between 2010 to 2018 Micke had a break from the rave culture, because of some private reasons. But since 2018, he is back with 100 % passion and focus and has got some gigs at smaller events and open-airs, mainly around Stockholm.

The music inspiration comes mainly from the early Acid, Goa and Techno music from the 90s. Big influences are producers like Richie Hawtin (PlastikMan), Thomas P. Heckmann, Rob Acid, Acid Junkeys, Junk Project, Aquaplex, Andres Krämer, Solid Sleep, Pascal F.E.O.S, Hallucinogen, Electric Universe, Chakra & Edi Mis, Man With No Name, Transwave, Juno Reactor, Dave The Drummer, Thomas Schumacher, Hardfloor, Marco Bailey, Umek and C.J Bolland. Just to name a few..

So get ready for a banging episode, which definitely will get your feets stomping!

New name, same drive and energy.
Yohan joined us in Episode LX, which was released on July 21st last year. Now he´s back with another hard techno mix!

Stockholm-based hard techno DJ and producer yohan.aif (formerly YΩHAN) plays it raw and speedy, hard and filthy.
He has only been active for a couple of years on the hard techno scene, but has already hit top-10 releases and top-100 tracks on Beatport, with releases on TechnoHearts Records.
He’s had bookings for organisers such as TechnoHearts, Technostate and Monday Bar - and there’s no question he lives up to his promise; pioneering hard techno like it’s 2025. The real question is - are you in?

Let´s give it up for 27-year-old Techno DJ & producer Theodor from Stockholm!
In this episode, you will hear what Theodor loves most – hard and filthy 140 BPM+ techno, and you will hear one of his own produced tracks that has its premiere exclusively for us! 

Theodor has, as long as he can remember, always loved electronic music and has attended festivals like Summerburst, Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival. At that time, he mainly listened to house music. But something happened in 2019 – he discovered techno. Since that day he has almost been possessed and totally in love with this genre. But how did it start? Well, Theodor attended the Amsterdam Dance Event Festival, and the event Awakenings in Gashouder which in a gigantic industrial premises. The first gig he saw was with Maceo Plex and it all ended with one of the best and memorable evenings in his life. It was pure love at first sight. Now, Theodor decided that he wanted to make his own techno music and start to DJ for real. 

Theodor has until now released two tracks on Spotify and other platforms. More music is coming very soon. Of course, it will be hard techno at 144 BPM with an industrial touch.

As a DJ, Theodor has played for the organizers Technostate and Crypt, and also some private rave parties that he and some friends has arranged. The gigs are definitely coming!

His absolute idol is Amelie Lens, a person he looks up to as she seems to be such a good person and spirit. And her gigs are fantastic.

Let´s give it up for Mani, who lives in Stockholm and a dude who has liked electronic music as long as he can remember. 
It all started with IDM (Intelligent dance music) which is a style of electronic music originating in the early 1990s, defined by idiosyncratic experimentation rather than specific genre constraints. One big inspiration was Aphex Twin. Mani wanted more and he soon fell in love with acid techno and ambient.
Today, artists like nthng, Luigi Tozzi, Matrixxman, Biosphere, Monolake, Inigo Kennedy, Boston 168, Emmanuel Top, Regis and Shpongle are big sources of inspiration where Mani finds his energy.

Later on, he has found the interest in DJ´ing, a territory where he can explore new styles and experiment with different genres. 
To this date, Mani has played for event organizers like Ravefamily, 303 Kyrkan and DemandSthlm.

In this episode, it all starts with deep hypnotic technobeats and ambient tones, which then turns into more driving techno.

Mani wants to end the presentation with this quote:
"When words leave off, music begins; it expresses  thoughts and emotions, to which speech can give no utterance; it clothes words with a power which language cannot impart"

Episode LXXVI: Mani

A big applause for Kari, or Mr Karelskij, as he calls himself when he acts as a DJ or music producer.

Kari´s main genre when he DJs is techno, and he likes to combine both new songs and older ones into a set, as you will hear it in this episode!
He has played at some local clubs in Gothenburg and has also helped organize a club called Collider several years ago at Röda Sten.

Kari discovered music in his younger years when he listened to his parents’ vinyl records in his childhood home. He really enjoyed the music from Electric Light Orchestra, Sparks, Jean Michel Jarre and many more.
As he got older, he more and more switched to the monotonous electronic dance music, which gave more of a sense of escapism. It all began with the melodic trance scene, and early idols were Final Fantasy and System F. Later of he discovered the darker and more psy trance influenced music from Son Kite, Astral Projection, Chakra, etc.
But in the latter part of the 90s techno came around and Kari was hooked. Back in the days we can be proud of our Swedish techno elite, with the likes of Adam Beyer, Cari Lekebusch, Henrik B, Joel Mull and many more.
Kari hanged out several times at the Mankind parties in Jönköping during the early 00s. 

Other big influences that he likes to add to his musiclist are Chris Liebing, Lars Klein, UMEK, Planetary Assault Systems, Robert Hood and Luke Slater.

Aaaaare yooou ready to ruuumble!?!

Dirty Sweedz joined us in Episode LXIII back in August 2021.
Now they are back with some bouncy Tekstyle beats - which is the same set they played at Ztampen 1.0 in Örebro - an event arranged by Swedish Rave Society Event in collab with Club Undersound.

In this episode you will hear a total of 37 hard-hitting tracks - and we would like to mention their versions of the classics "Cotton Eye Joe" from Rednex and the summer banger and remix of Da Tweekaz "Jägermeister" - a track they released at the Thunderbörst festival 2022.

Last year the two friends behind Dirty Sweedz made their comeback and released their music for the first time in six years. And they are harder, faster and more experienced.

One of the guys was very early in producing Hardstyle and has to date over 100.000 streams on Soundcloud and over 1.000.000 views on YouTube!
The other guy has been active on the Swedish rave scene with gigs for Monday Bar and Deztination, amongst others.

The future looks bright and they are looking forward to 2023 with heavy Rawstyle in sight.

We had the honour of having Chilly Philly in our Episode LIV, way back in January 2021. Back then, his name was Corey Philly. This episode is - like chilly - a little bit more spicy and heavy!
Just like the last time, he who would like to present his beloved genre Minimal and staying true to many Australian producers in the mix.

Behind the DJ-name we have a dude named Corey, an Australian who has now been living in Stockholm for some years now.

Corey is a music enthusiast born and raised in Australia, aiming to share the best underground anthems Australia has to offer. Minimal - or Melbourne Sound as the locals would call it - is the type of music you would find in dark, dimly-lit basements across Australia. Swedes may be familiar with names such as Will Sparks and Teddy Cream, who were pioneers in the early days of the Minimal scene in Australia.

Corey also has a love for many other genres such as House, Techno and EDM as you can see from his Soundcloud mixes. But his one true goal is to bring the unique Melbourne Sound to dancefloors, parties, and playlists in Sweden.

When Corey moved to Sweden, he sadly noticed a non-existent Minimal scene and decided to invest in learning the DJ-skills to bring the Melbourne Sound to the country. So far, he has been limited to playing at house parties in Stockholm, but Corey hopes to take his sound further during his time here by building a community of Minimal enthusiasts and playing to larger crowds.

Since the last time he joined us, he has played some few spontaneous things out at Lappis Summer Dreams with a more housey/chill scale.

Marko is the guy who used to go by the DJ name MARKOOZ with which he has been active since 2005 and reaped great success with. After achieving his goal of getting Hardstyle music accepted in the biggest nightclubs in our long country and getting to share the stage with the biggest artists in its genre, he shut down his MARKOOZ project in 2019 as he settled down to life as a parent.

Then the pandemic hit and he got plenty of time to start working on his skills in the studio, and set off his new Happy Hardcore project MKZ which he released in February 2022. 

The spotlight was once again pointed in Marko's direction when he started by winning the DJ competition for Monday Bar's Spring Cruise, as well as headlining both X-Cruise and Sweden's largest HDM festival OWL.

So far this year, he has already managed to release 5 songs with his new project. His latest track "Come And Play" is one of them which you can hear in his guest mix for us at Swedish Rave Society.

How about ending the year 2022 with a bang!?

We are honoured to present the Swedish techno producer Therese Kali!
She focuses on dark and hard techno and usually adds some cosmic spice to it and loads of acid waves. She gets her inspiration from the darkness and all things surrounded with a mystic aura, so it feels natural for her to create music with the same dark sound.

Therese is signed as an producer for Let’s Techno Records, Wicked Waves, Black Square Recordings and Beenoise Records.

Her musical journey first began with rock music. But she also listened to different electronic music styles, and everything changed dramatically at a festival around 10 years ago, when she heard techno for the first time. She was totally hooked when she listended to a gig with Pleasurekraft.
Since then, Therese has attended several festivals like Awakenings, Ozora, Boomland and Mo:Dem. And of course, the nightclub Berghain in Berlin.

In this episode, Therese presents one hour of hard-hitting techno and has included three of her own tracks, which are extremely good!

Nenad joined us in Episode III, way back in November 2019. As a real freaking hardhead, he loves the harder styles and the oldschool sound. 
In this episode, Nenad takes us on a trip in memory lane and back to the days when - in his own opinion - raw hardstyle music was the best. 

Nenad, whos real name is Niels, was born in 1988 in Groningen in the Netherlands, but he moved to Sweden when he was 22 years old.
The interest for electronic music - especially the harder styles - came from the Dutch TV-channels TMF and The Box, who were similar to MTV. In the early 90´s they were showing hardcore music in their programs. This got his interest more and more.

In 2006 Niels started to make mixtapes, but it wasn't until 2011 that he started to perform on stage as part of the DJ team: Nr. 1 Crew.
One year later he went solo as Nenad. The first booking was at the Machinecore party in Gothenburg and shortly after he became a resident for Mix and Dance, a big Swedish event organizer focusing on the harder styles like hardstyle, hardcore and hardtrance.
For Mix and Dance he played several times at the Blackout-events and even at the (world) tours of Digital Punk and Gunz For Hire!

Nenad has also played a couple of times at F.I.F.O. in Örebro, where he lives today with his wife and child. Well actually, Nenad lives a what we in Sweden say a “stenkast” outside the city. It means just outside the city in a smaller county.

One of his highlights - to date - as a DJ was preforming in the Netherlands at Wonderland Outdoor festival 2015.

If you have had the privilege to see Nenad live, you know that his sets are creative and full of energy, something he likes to show on stage as well. You can call Nenad a little bit of old school, because he really like mixing with both CDs and vinyls.

If we do something for the third year running, it’s a tradition riiiight?
Like the past two years we wanted to end 2022 with a freaking bang! So, we invited Swedens most tattooed DJ - mr Nechronic – to do another X-mas mix for us. He didn't hesitate for one second.
Due to a little misunderstanding, Marcus spent 12 hours with the mix the day before this episode was published. Now, that is dedication!
In this episode, it all starts with Xtra Raw and ends with Uptempo.

But what has happened since the last time Nechronic joined us?
During the year he has played at several big events like Thunderbörst Festival, Noisey Neighbours, Ztampen 1.0 by Club Undersound and Swedish Rave Society Event, and the big highlight was playing for Swedens biggest HDM-festival OWL. 

We will hear a lot more from Nechronic next year. That´s a fact!

Let's give ut up to the hardgroover Heden!

Behind the decks we have a guy called Calle and he's been a huge fan of tech house and hard techno for many years, but haven't been sure what his ”main” genre is when it comes to DJing. That was until he discovered some of Narciss sets from YouTube, a DJ from Germany, which goes under a They-pronoun. "They" played Hardgroove which is kind of a combo of the two genres. Its got the groovy and funky basslines from tech house and the high tempo and sometimes hard drums from hard techno. It also takes some influences from euro dance and trance. Calle fell right in love with this style and knew that this was IT. As he likes it the hard way, he likes to blend some hard techno into his sets aswell. As you will hear in this episode!

Narciss has been a big musical inspiration but some other DJs that Calle loves are Trym, Parfait, Billie Jo, DIØN, Djoko/Kolter, Anetha and ÅMRTÜM. When it comes to producing he would say Flume, without hesitation. His productions and always changing sounds are so cool and inspiring.

Calle started to DJ and produce when he was around 14 years old. He laid of the DJing for a couple of years to put all the focus into producing his own music. But the love for DJing was reborn through the discovery of vinyl records. Before that, he was DJing purely digital, but became more and more analogue as he started to collect techno vinyls and started DJing with those, which is a superfun and enjoyable new challenge.
Calles current setup includes two Technics SL-1200s hooked up to a Traktor Kontrol S4 and  a computer, so in this episode you are listening to a blend of vinyls and digital records!

A couple of years back Calle played at a local pub in his hometown a few nights as well as some exam parties. In the recent year he has played at private rave parties with some friends and at a student pub. The future plans is to play more, specially at raves, and release some of his own records eventually, gotta grind!!

Episode LXXXIV: Heden

Let´s give two big thumbs up for mr Rocco and his alter ego JTFU (“Jump The F@# Up”). In this episode we deliver his Hardstyle-set from our event “Hard Society 1.0” from March the 25th.

Like many years back, Rocco records all his sets live and uploads them on his Mixcloud and YouTube Channels. The latter also with live video from the event! So, check it out. It’s really cool. You have links further down in the presentation. 

Rocco is what you can call an superexperienced DJ as he has been in the business for over 20 years and knows how to handle vinyls, CDs and USBs. 
He has featured for us in Episode X as Rocco from January the 8th 2020 and as JTFU in Episode XXIX from May the 20th 2020.

Thru the years, Rocco has made people pay bigger attention to Hard Trance in the Swedish rave scene and it is no understatement to call him “Mr Hard Trance”.

In 2017, he decided to get another DJ-alias – “JTFU” – to present a faster side of himself, which is mainly up for Hard-, Psy- & Rawstyle.
Add to this, he also masters many different types of Psytrance (Progg/Full On/Forest)

Thru the years, Rocco has been playing for both smaller club/forest venues to the largest organizers in Sweden, such as TechnoState, TechnoHearts, Monday Bar, SEF (Scandinavia Electronic Festival), Hardbeach and OWL Festival.
He has played with big names like Frontliner, Technoboy, Angerfist, Krowdexx, Adrenalize and E-Force.

ALL his sets are recorded and can be found on his Mixcloud-channel.

Later in year 2017 Rocco got the prestigious recognition "Male Trance DJ of the Year" at the Elly Awards.
In addition, Rocco has for six years standing a two-hour gig for Collide @ Trance Energy Radio, on the 1st Friday of every month, with Hard Trance and Psytrance.

Let´s give two big thumbs up for mr rawhead Nenad . In this episode we bring you his Hardcore-set from our event “Hard Society 1.0” from March the 25th.

Nenad joined us in way back in Episode III from November 2019 and more recently in Episode LXXXIII from January this year.
As a real freaking hardhead, he loves the harder styles and the oldschool sound. 

Nenad, whos real name is Niels, was born in 1988 in Groningen in the Netherlands, but he moved to Sweden when he was 22 years old.
The interest for electronic music - especially the harder styles - came from the Dutch TV-channels TMF and The Box, who were similar to MTV. In the early 90´s they were showing hardcore music in their programs. This got his interest more and more.

In 2006 Niels started to make mixtapes, but it wasn't until 2011 that he started to perform on stage as part of the DJ team: Nr. 1 Crew.
One year later he went solo as Nenad. The first booking was at the Machinecore party in Gothenburg and shortly after he became a resident for Mix and Dance, a big Swedish event organizer focusing on the harder styles like hardstyle, hardcore and hardtrance.
For Mix and Dance he played several times at the Blackout-events and even at the (world) tours of Digital Punk and Gunz For Hire!

Nenad has also played a couple of times at F.I.F.O. in Örebro, where he lives today with his wife and two children. Well actually, Nenad lives a what we in Sweden say a “stenkast” outside the city. It means just outside the city in a smaller county.

One of his highlights - to date - as a DJ was preforming in the Netherlands at Wonderland Outdoor festival 2015.

If you have had the privilege to see Nenad live, you know that his sets are creative and full of energy, something he likes to show on stage as well. You can call Nenad a little bit of old school, because he really like mixing with both CDs and vinyls.

Rasmus aka 'Lord Bellman' is the name of this 27 years old DJ from Falkenberg, who has been active with a focus on the harder styles as rawstyle and hardcore since 2021, and now its time to share the magic!

The harddance scene was new for him until 7 years ago when his bestie's been at a Q-Dance event and let him take a part of their experience by bringing him, and now he is in love and wants to give everyone the same good feeling like he had by DJ-ing the music he loves.

In a short time, he will produce his own music with a lot of fast beats and hard bass. Stay tuned for this creativity!

Just when you expected something awesome for this epsiode, we bring you that old bastard Schnoppenkipf!

- WTF!?
"Yeah, I hope you will enjoy this mix with my beloved UK Hardcore. I´m warming up with some older tracks and then progress to more UK Hardcore and Powerstomp. I couldn´t resist to finish it off with a really old 90´s hardcore tune from mr Dano. It´s a sick tune. But we also have a big announcement to make" mr Schnippenkopf says in his interview with himself.

- What´s the word?
"Swedish Rave Society slowly but surely grows and we have expanded our crew with some people that will organize festivals and events in the near future. Hopefully this summer, depending on how the situation with the Corona virus goes. The main man behind this team will be mr N3RON. Hopefully we will have something more to tell before Kristi Himmelsfärd in May"

- Didn´t N3RON make an episode for you?
"Yeah, he did. And he started T&T last year, who just like us, wanted to publish mixes from DJs at Mixcloud. But he wants to organize raves and will do so. We also have a new local organizer in Örebro called Club Undersound, which we hopefully will have some collaboration with" 

- Any final words?
"So far, I think we have succeeded in our concept" mr Schnippenkopf replies. "Especially in putting new talents in the spotlight for en episode. Their mixes have been really, really good and we are working on more, both well-known and upcoming. Stay tuned!"

Episode XXII: Schnippenkopf (April Fools)

Let´s give it up for mr Robert Redai, a happily married man who lives in Katrineholm. In this episode he will bring you 16 banging tracks of melodic techno!

Robert has always listened to electro music when he was younger, and he wanted to express himself with this music. In recent years he started to practice DJ´ing and made his first mixes through the computer program Virtual DJ. He realized very soon that this was his call in life and bought his first real equipment, a Pioneer 350 DJ set.

It´s hard to name big musical influences because there are some many. Robert doesn´t like to limit himself to one genre and the common thread that attracts him is the power of the melody. But when asked to name some big role models, the answer would be Tiesto, Avicii and deadmau5.  Their unique productions and sound really get stuck in the head and was the whole reason for him to start to DJ. But Robert is very quick to add names like Boris Brejcha, Lane 8, Nora En Pure, JOYRYDE and Skrillex.

Robert loves to mix all genres and tries to break the barriers between them. There is always something new to discover and learn from, and that´s the reason he wants to make every mix unique and a bit different from the last one by breaking limitations and try new things. And he always tries to tell a story through his mixes. Besides techno, he loves dubstep, big room, reggae and hip-hop!

The story when making the mix for this episode was to create the feeling of slowly losing oneself and drift beyond space and music, towards something unknown without really knowing what it will bring. In this journey, you are offered surprises with melodies of melancholic, astronomical dancing rhythms that are mixed to tickle your senses in the subconscious.
A quote to sum up it all up would be: "To let go of control and step outside oneself and to land in an emptiness filled with the noise of silence. That is when we hear ourselves the best"

Episode XL: DJ Redai

Behind DJ Hassleborg we have a 28-year-old woman called Sofie. She is living in the Swedish capitol Stockholm with her loving boyfriend.

The passion for music started as a child, and she recorded all the music she liked on old analogue cassettes. Later on, it turned to digital CD-Rs and her parents got mad when Sofie burned all the discs they have bought, repeatedly. They told her already then that she should be a DJ.
And still today, Sofie updates her music library every freaking day. Music is like an addiction. 

In the year of 2015, Sofie felt that the time was right to test a DJ course in Magaluf, to get an insight into what it is like and what it means to be a DJ. She loved it right away! 
After that she has played at some private parties and in 2019, she took another course. This time it was held in no other place than Ibiza, just to develop and experience the magic.
In Ibiza, melodic house touched her heart, but it has later on grown more and more into techno. This is where she feels at home with herself.

As DJ Hassleborg, Sofie has played for several radiostations and at events such as Grabbarna Grus and X-Cruise. And in Ibiza of course!
She has visited Summerburst every year from 2013 to 2019, Hï Ibiza, Ushuïa 2019 and Ultra Music Festival in Miami 2017.

When Sofie gets the question to name some big influences in music, it takes a while to answer that. Actually, we don´t get any specific names as it is too hard to choose any from all the idols. There are so many and from so many different genres! Everyone is different and runs their own thing. You can get inspiration from everyone in different ways!

Sofie want to spead the joy and inner feelings that music gives. It is a way for her to express herself and also make others happy. It's so much more than just music!

”Yo, is it the football player?!?”
“Naaah, it´s the DJ of course!!!”

Mohamed Salah was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt but moved to Helsingborg way down south in Sweden in 2017.

Mr Salah has been listening to different genres of electronic music since young age and travelled all around Europe to listen to his favourite DJs. 
He soon found out that melodic techno lies close to his heart and feels this special music comes straight from the soul. 

He finds lots of inspiration and influences from artists like Tiesto, who back in the days was his big trance hero together with the likes of Armin, Paul van dyk and all the FSOE (Future Sound of Egypt) label artists.  
When asked to select a top 3 list in the Melodic techno scene, artists like Tale Of Us, Colyn and Kevin de Vries pops up in his head. But also, the Ethereal techno by Steyoyoke label artists made him fall in love with this genre of music.
 
Mohamed started DJ´ing two years ago and he is doing it for the pure fun, as he wants to share his passion and the love of music with friends and music lovers.  He also likes to blend a fusion of trance and progressive house into the mix.

True hedonist, ASTROKRAFT delivers a dark and progressive sound with a cosmic twist. Inspired by everything space, engineering and machines Astrokraft creates a musical journey through the cosmos.

Behind the name - and decks - we have Malin, who was born and raised in the cold north of Sweden.

ASTROKRAFT quickly found her way to the underground rave scene and frequently visited small events in the deep forest, abandoned houses and dim basements.
While her first love was psytrance she got instantly hooked on the metallic sound and hypnotizing beats of techno, especially the subgenre cosmic techno.

She eventually moved to Stockholm and learned to DJ about 9 months ago. So far she has played at Technostate, Versus and Ravekommissionen.
Big influences are Spektre, Phobos 92, UMEK, Cosmic Boys, and Rudosa, just to name a few.

Swedish Rave Society brings you exclusive mixes you can´t hear anywhere else from Swedish DJs and producers - both upcoming and well-known!

Our episodes focus on the baddest music in all genres of underground electronic music - following the Legendary Awesome-concept created by the founder: https://soundcloud.com/schnippenkopf.

To honour what we in Sweden call "lill-lördag" (little Saturday) we upload everything on Wednesdays. You´re halfway through the working week but you´re still halfway to the weekend - getting ready to get the party started! 

WANNA GET YOUR MIX PUBLISHED? 
Don´t hesitate! Send the mix in WAV or at least MP3 (320 kbps) via WeTransfer, Dropbox or other sharing platforms to swedishravesociety@hotmail.com.
Take note that the mix shall not be over 60 minutes long and we don´t make any plans or set any dates before the mix has been sent in to us.

- A picture (preferably in front of you) or in the act
