Slow Down Vol.002 - Hakou (AKA Rohne)

Been a while since I put out "Always Here" and after recording this mix today I decided it was fitting to continue it as a series. 
Similar soundscapes to vo.1, but has very much its own vibe as well. 
These chiller/deeper mixes remind me of those notorious festival sunrises, nostalgia and a sound I don't normally play out anymore, but has always stayed close to my heart.

it's been 2 years since we last gathered together
I MISS YOUUUUUUUUUU
to commemorate Bass Coast weekend i went back and finessed my set from 2019, Sunday morning at Slay Bay. it's mostly exactly how i played it with a few tunes added and a couple removed, i had to keep the little treat at the end. closing out the stage that morning was a dream, playing music as the sun rose over that beautiful land and all the dancing sweeties. BIG LOVE out to the Bass Coast organizers and crew and all the hands and minds and hearts that come together to make it happen for us!   endlessly thankful for the opportunity to create with you. Stoked to present my opening set for Chrysalis 2022 – an intentional gathering to cultivate community, connection and consciousness in the forest of Salmo, BC.

Alas, my set from Envision Festival! 
 
What a blissful experience! This was my first trip since my car accident/head injury in 2019. The opportunity was timely and I'm grateful - it allowed me to step out of my whirlwind. I rediscovered my passion for life and regained my sense of self. The dust is still settling. Still beaming that the stars aligned for Joy (Alegria Aerial) to join me and share the stage with her aerial silks! 

I hope this mix captures some of the magic of that night, and takes you on a journey to the jungle. 🙏🏾
