Currently recording independently, and booking in Ottawa, Sweet Potato Fridays is a new and upcoming band looking to find their niche in the music industry. Consisting of 3 students with big dreams, who are trying to find their sound, Sweet Potato Fridays is not just a band, but a vision that reaches out to all who want to be inspired by music. With Dimitri Georgaras on Guitar and vocals, Tom Chan on Bass, and Jona Thomas on Drums, Sweet Potato Fridays brings something new and something vintage to the alternative rock scene. Influenced by the Doors, Pink Floyd, The Police, Mac Demarco, Tame Impala, Band of Skulls, The Black Keys and many others, this unique trio has something very special to bring to their listeners. From the gritty guitar riffs, to the melodic bass tones, to the poetic, angsty and romantic lyrics, and a crunchy rhythmic backbone, Sweet Potato Fridays is able to diversify the Ottawa music scene, and is looking for your support so that they can do so.
