 Namaste.
 
 Wish You Were Here is probably one of the most heard-played songs, ever. It commands  the stature of being one of those few hundred ever green songs, in the history of man, by  a cult band, which redefines music and song writing (Pink Floyd).
 
 Like most music lovers, I am head over heals with the song writing of Roger Waters &  David Gilmour, and the music of Pink Floyd.
 
 It was therefore but natural for me to choose Wish You Were Here, as my first ever  interpretation of a global anthem.
 
 One would like to believe, that one has managed to retain the essence of the song writing, and the soul of the song, in this presentation.
 
 I have often been nick named Roger Mathur & Somesh Gilmour by my close friends from  the music industry. I simply love it.
 
 From the time I started ideating upon my interpretation of Wish You Were Here, to the  delivery of the mastered track, its been over 15 months. 
 I now feel that the “painting is complete”, and good enough to share with the world,  particularly with David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Nick Mason, Richard Wright & Syd Barrett (How I Wish You Were Here).
 
 Whilst being true to the instrumental riffs, and the recital of the main melody, one has  improvised with instruments like the Sitar, Sarod, Santoor, Harmonium, Tabla, Kahon, Big  Manjira, and ofcourse the Indian Flute, with twin Tanpuras layered under, giving a drone-like  effect, in the beginning of the song. We also have two different sounding acoustic guitars  and an acoustic bass guitar. 
 
 I must admit, its been a challenging, yet a fulfilling experience, creating my humble  interpretation of Wish You Were Here.
 
 Hope it makes you feel good, inspired, and mystic.
