The latest installment in our free download series welcomes Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada with their much requested take on Depeche Mode’s ‘The Things You Said’. As frequent studio partners since remixing Upercent’s ‘Pulsacions’ in 2017, Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada have become one of the progressive scene’s most beloved production teams. The duo have built a strong synergy over what has been a six-year creative swell, showcasing their original material on Nick’s The Soundgarden imprint, while also recording a string of impressive remixes for DAYS like NIGHTS, Get Physical, Proton Music and many more trendsetting imprints. Always looking for new avenues to test their creative chops, the duo took to re-imagining Depeche Mode’s ‘The Things You Said’ earlier this year. Released in 1987 as part of the band’s ‘Music for the Masses’, an album widely regarded to encompass the best styles from both ‘Black Celebration’ and ‘Violator’, ‘The Things You Said’ has stood the test of time and remains a high point on the seminal and much loved long-player. Nick Warren and Nicolas Rada have combined their extensive forces once again, knocking out a near nine-minute epic rendition which has not only been a staple in Nick’s recent sets, but also finds the duo landing more additive ever. The latest installment of our free download series welcomes Onurcan Kaya with his take on ‘Massive’ by Drake. The Turkish artist first emerged in 2021 with a release via 4or Records, a release which would make him a name to watch in the world of melodic house and techno. The next two calendar years would see Onurcan add Astral Records, Melodic Room and VTOPIΛ to his resume, in turn earning support from Fideles, Kevin de Vries, Øostil and Tale Of Us, among others. Also an accomplished DJ, Onurcan has been a fixture of his country’s nightlife of late, programming music for some of Turkey’s trendiest venues. A recent highlight of Onurcan’s sets has been his much requested rendition of Drake’s ‘Massive’. As the second single from the Canadian hiphoper’s 2022 album ‘Honestly, Nevermind’, the track would go on to achieve critical and commercial success, ultimately peaking at #2 in the UK dance charts and #11 on Billboard’s Electronica Hot Dance. With Onurcan’s remix of the track already receiving play from Agents of Time, Armin Van Burren, Fideles, Innellea, Kevin de Vries and more, we’re pleased to offer it as an exclusive free download. Desde los primeros compases, la atmósfera ya sugiere que no es un track pensado para levantar brazos en un festival, sino para sumergirse en un viaje mental o emocional. Es una pieza que invita a cerrar los ojos y dejarse llevar. Suave, pero con dirección.

Nostalgia positiva:
Hay un tono melancólico, sí, pero no triste. Se siente como mirar hacia atrás con cariño, como una caminata solo al atardecer después de un momento importante. La armonía es contemplativa pero no oscura.

Fluir y paciencia:
El desarrollo lento y progresivo (como el título sugiere) transmite madurez artística. No hay prisas. Cada sonido tiene su espacio y propósito. Hay una confianza en el groove, en el viaje, que genera calma y fascinación.

Conexión con la naturaleza / lo etéreo:
Por momentos, la combinación de pads, reverbs y texturas ambientales da la sensación de estar flotando, como si se tratara de una experiencia inmersiva más que musical. Es un tema que se sentiría natural en un sunset set en Ibiza o Tulum , en Burning Man, o incluso en un warm-up largo de club bien profundo.

The slow, progressive development (as the title suggests) conveys artistic maturity. There's no rush. Each sound has its space and purpose. There's a trust in the groove, in the journey, that generates calm and fascination.

Connection with Nature / The Ethereal:
At times, the combination of pads, reverbs, and ambient textures gives the sensation of floating, as if it were an immersive experience rather than a musical one. It's a track that would feel natural on a sunset set in Ibiza or Tulum, at Burning Man, or even a long, deep club warm-up.
