Astral Records opens the month of April by welcoming Re-Type back to the label for a new single. Based in Belgium and made up of Pieter and Lucas, the Re-Type duo first emerged in 2021 with a release via Found Frequencies. Finding a nice balance between progressive and melodic house and techno, 'Reasons' firmly established Re-Type as a new duo to watch. 2022 found further successes for the duo, making their Astral Records debut in November with 'Drowning'. Featuring the vocals of Luke Coulson and backed by a remix from Axel Haube, the track would go on to receive support from Mind Against, Nick Warren and more. Now, presenting their first release of 2023, Re-Type returns to Astral Records with a new single entitled 'Home'.

Diversifying their portfolio further, Re-Type masterfully synthesizes their talents with well-known producer/vocalist Eleonora. Remarkably powerful, its dynamic groove commands attention, moving through rolling contours and rhythmic pulses, while flickering arps and ghostly vocal fragments add further colour leading into the main break. This summer Moderna Y Theus Mago return with their fourth collaboration release ‘Give Chance A Trance’, the four-track EP will be released on Duro Label. Continuing a strong summer season, Astral Records unveils the third installment of their 'Celestial' series. Continuing their highly stylized brand of melodic house and techno, the label continues to push the boundaries of this burgeoning genre, while never losing sight of the cosmic qualities that has made the sound so appealing to many. With an emphasis on melody and emotion, Astral Records follows on from the success of 2022's 'Celestial' Pt. 2 with the much anticipated third edition, featuring (in order of appearance) Vaneama, Q.U.A.K.E and HRÄG, Far Distance, Gus (MT) and 2Qimic. Based in the Netherlands, it is Vaneama who gets the release underway with 'Omit'. Tagmusic, the creative alias of Tushar Agrawal, is a DJ and producer whose sound bridges Progressive House and Melodic Techno. With Agaman, he makes a powerful first statement on Movement Recordings, presenting two club focused originals that balance groove, melody, and emotion.

Let Go opens the EP with a driving rhythm and lush progressive layers that gradually build into a deep, hypnotic journey, while Stiff explores a more energetic and club oriented direction. The latter features a clever use of vocal phrasing that adds to its late night appeal, a vocal that also plays a central role in D Formation's remix.

Delivering a masterful rework, D Formation transforms Stiff into a peak time anthem with his trademark melodic power and hypnotic tension. A figure synonymous with quality electronic music, D Formation, also known as Dimas Carbajo, stands as one of the most influential Spanish producers in the global scene. Together from birth, two brothers united by their passion for music and more, Pongo is the latest sound evolution of Giovanni Bruni and Daniele Bruni. Growing up with a very similar musical culture, handed down in turn by their parents, the two brothers have always shared their art projects together. Giovanni started playing as a DJ in the early 2000s now enjoying success in the most famous clubs of the clubbing scene in Tuscany. Soon, his younger brother Daniele follows the same steps as supporting him in DJ sets and creating their first music projects together. In 2011, together with Luca L. and Elia C. founded the brand Yuma Recordings.In addition to the  label ,Yuma began to be known for the club event, Yuma Nights, and in 2013 the collective Yuma created the Vibe Club, a place that offered innovative sound in Italian nightlife. The brothers felt that they had to make their most personal productions, with which they can open up more towards a wider musical landscape.
 After a period of evolution in the studio in 2016, it's time to get back on stage for Giovanni and Daniele with their new Pongo project that takes shape with Giovanni on vocals. Their strong influences that fuses electronics, soul, and techno have created this new way of approaching the dancefloor: the combination of evocative song and a powerful and refined set.

Our penultimate release on Ready Mix for 2017 comes from Portuguese duo Maria and Luis, making their label debut under the 'Ohxalá' moniker to present us with their latest triple tracker 'Sereias do Planeta Vermelho EP'.

The title track 'Sereias do Planeta Vermelho' reflects the pair's obsession with ancient instruments and traditional sounds from Brazil, Africa, Portugal and beyond. Jungle sounds play with tribal percussion and haunting flutes, punctuated by subtle electronic touches in this hypnotic and idiosyncratic chill-out gem.

Also making his Ready Mix debut, spiritual sonic explorer and maker of 'shamanic psychedelia', Lemurian turns in a scintillating remix, making the most of the exotic parts and adding a few of his own to build a soul-stirring Deep Tech bubbler.

Second original track, 'O Barulho do Gizo da Cobra' blends eastern percussion with birdsong and a Brazilian spoken word vocal to create a sumptuous and languid vibe, reminiscent of Thievery Corporation.

On remix duties, nomadic Latin producer MiRET adds a hypnotic hangdrum and some heavier percussion to suit the deepest sunset sessions.

For the final original track 'Berimbal Regionau', Ohxalá once again blend instrumentation from across the globe with somewhat darker electronic touches to create something that sounds almost like acoustic dubstep.

Supplying the final remix of the package, Chilean musician and producer Rodrigo Gallardo takes the track into a flute frenzy over potent organic rhythms and guitars.

With his nothing short of outstanding Force EP on Compost Records, prodigious Laolu pushes his boundaries even further and provides us with a refreshing and yet poignant travel through his vision of afro inspired house music. In addition to this musical marvel comes a long-awaited vinyl exclusive Laolu Remix of Sophie Hungers There Is Still Pain Left, one that will be remembered. It received heavy support already by the likes of Solomun, Marcus Worgull, Trikk and Eagles & Butterflies!

Released on Innervisions at the end of 2015, Laolu's remix of Dele Sosimi's 'Too Much Information' has been a number one hit and Dixon and Ame's favourite track of the year. Laolu was born out of the love of a Nigerian father and a Swiss mother who, most appropriately, met in a record store in Berlin. He spent his first years in Nigeria where his parents owned "The Gallery", a club dedicated to Jazz and Soul. And so his musical education began. After relocating to France, he attended a music school in order to learn saxophone and music theory, but upon discovering Detroit techno pioneers Derrick May and Carl Craig at the age of 18, he sold his saxophone to buy his first drum machine.

He then moved to Geneva where he started DJing and met Kadebostan, who quickly became a musical co-conspirator in the studio and as a DJ partner. In 2010, Laolu released his first EP "O Fantasma" on the young Berlin based label Clap Your Hands. A deep tune for special club moments. During the following years, his collaborations and solo work have led him to produce music for labels including Innervisions, Defected, Compost Records, Get Physical, Weapons, Freude Am Tanzen, Clap Your Hands, Mental Groove, Jalapeno Records and Soundway Records. He kicked off 2014 writing and producing Sene Kela for Mr Raoul Ks new album, which gathered love and support from Dixon, Mano Le Tough and more.

As a DJ, he has built a solid reputation in his hometown of Geneva, but also played across Europe in Berlin, Paris , Krakow and Tbilisi. Ruff techno, heart warming house, his style both sophisticated and raw at once allows him to swing moods and match the feverish atmosphere of any club.

Were back in the capital with the 8th installment of the Stil vor Talent Berlin compilation series, which brings forth a group of old and new faces, who exclusively contributed unreleased tracks, gathered under the umbrella of one of Berlins derelict treasures. Neukölln's Blub, short for "Berliner Luft- und Badeparadis", was a waterpark opened in 1985 in the Britz area. After its closure in 2002 the site fell into disrepair, waiting for housing redevelopment and revealing a fragile beauty in its decay as days go by. Like all of Berlin's remaining ruins, Blub serves as a reminder of long-gone times, while amplifying the current tensions between aggressive gentrification and useful repurposing. As always, music is the common denominator and Oliver Koletzki delivers the perfect soundtrack with this new release, while Chrisse Kunst renders the visuals.

After releasing his last EP on Sapiens as part of Agoria's successful REGENERATION DAY in May 2020, Mooglie is now back with another stunning four-tracker entitled 'Aaliyah'. That last effort, The 'Prelude' EP, amassed more than a million streams on Spotify and was even supported by Austin Kramer who pitched him as the cover of the 'Friday Cratediggers' playlist.

Mooglie is a Parisian electronic music composer who draws on jazz, pop-rock, new wave and Italo disco. He is a formally trained guitarist and bassist with a real musical diversity. He manages to combine the organic with the synthetic in hugely emotional ways and does that once again here.

Opener 'Aaliyah' is a scintillating track with melodies that soar to the heavens while sleek drums make for a slick groove down low. It's an all consuming track that sweeps you off your feet and 'Illusion Of Us' then offers a more stripped back but just as emotional resonant vibe. The bass strokes are broad and melancholic, and the pained vocals up top have a nagging sense of loss that really stays with you.

'We All Out' is another stunning track that brings more crystal clear vocals to a taught electronic beat that is awash with deft synths and glowing pads. It's music that really brims with style and last cut 'Aludra' showcases another style, this time with sombre bass and more subtle synths making for an intimate and pensive mood.
