ALMAT, from Cuenca, a city crossed by rivers, has an eccentric charisma, and has even proclaimed that nobody understands him except 'Jesus from Nazareth'. Deep Tech, Acid House and Techno are the main themes in Almat's mixes. He is the mentalist and founder of Soul 47 collective, whose mission is to spread electronic music in the South and East of Ecuador. He studied music production in Argentina, and is the owner of Guala Dance label, a festival held annually in Gualaceo, Azuay.
The 41st edition of Savia Park presents Almat with three pieces: Acid Feeling is an overloaded track, acid in his vocals, where the slogan is repeated in the background and in Finnish: 'We have been told about eternal love for so long, that we decided to solve this problem and we came to this conclusion...'. The conclusion is, of course, quite forceful, with a solid bass line and 909 percussions, which are mixed with the artillery of acid synths and Deep House grooves.
The Underground is a revision of Tech House, which is a hypnotic trip for lovers of pieces that transport us to a world of non-stop dancing.
The last piece is Waves of Life, which gives title to the EP, a sublime piece for the mind, spirit and body. In its continuous and sustained rhythm, the eternal Facundo Cabral tells us: 'You're not depressed, you're distracted' and this prophecy has something of a modern diagnosis.

Next up is one of our favorite producers from Canada: Andrew McDonnell, who has credits on Little Helpers and Kindisch.

This time Andrew reveals his first output of 2022 titled 'The Little Path EP'.

Kicking things off is 'Start of the Path', a deep atmospheric workout, aimed towards a more laid back afterhours aesthetic, keeping things simple but effective.

Next up is: 'On & On', an evolving and modulating journey that builds & builds, retaining energy, while keeping your mind busy as well as your feet.

Once again Andrew delivers his signature sound on 'Take a Break', which has lots of groove, deep and spaced out on his characteristically smooth and tense vibe style.

Andrew has sketched out an edgy work-out to close this package with 'End of the Path', with wicked dark melodics & hypnotic hints, which is a reminder of the old days, and proof that Andrew certainly likes to make quality grooves.

Following recent outings on Aus Music, Rejected and Knee Deep In Sound, Steve Bug returns to his own Poker Flat Recordings for his first solo release on the label since 2021's Montafon. 

Despite maintaining a prolific release and remix schedule, it's been quite some time since we've been treated to a pure, unadulterated Steve Bug original on Poker Flat. 

So we're very pleased to present Alto Adige: a fantastically deep and typically meticulous two-tracker set to scratch that particular itch. 

Alto Adige is a patient slow-burner, kicking off with a muted synth line that gradually opens up as the track progresses, building to a deeply satisfying crescendo in the break. 

Trentino is similarly minded, with the addition of rising strings and a beautifully epic synth lead adding even more drama to proceedings.
