EdOne returns home with Equilibrium EP

Ed makes a new appearance on his Surrrealism label with 3 heart-stopping tracks and ready to rock every dance floor column.

"Equilibrium" is the curtain raiser to this frenetic performance. True to his style, Ed deploys an imposing bass drum over which ride powerful percussion and melodies that reach the ear as if they were knives. Unexpected changes of rhythm to show off his versatility. Work made in honour of the dance floor.

"Obsession" continues in the same vein as its predecessor. Without giving a hint of tranquility, we enter into another demolishing track. Aggressive synths that hammer your eardrum until they grab your attention accompanied by a dynamic and forceful rhythm.

"What Is Enough For You" is the track that closes this story. Immersed in a festival of incessant and energetic rhythms, a beautiful vocal emerges over pads full of euphoria and hope. Light breaks through the darkness. It is never enough.

Like all animals, human beings are driven by instinct from birth, being led astray on countless occasions but rewarded with the best adventures. Sabo's record label, Sol Selectas, sets sail on its tenth annual Summer Sol compilation, which collects together tracks from around the world. Focusing on organic house, it also features genres such as Afro house, deep house, downtempo, and deep tech.
It features 25 tracks that have roots in 17 different countries, and includes contributions from label favourites such as Sabo, Yamil, Mula, Giovanni Aparicio, Guy Maayan, Adwas, and DJ Phellix. There are also many Sol Selectas debuts, including the first ever official releases by the likes of Rameff, Matur, DBRA, and Basement Radio.
The compilation celebrates the day of the summer solstice, which is the year's longest day of sunlight. Embracing cultural diversity, it features tracks by artists with roots in Egypt, Iran, Tunisia, Greece, Armenia, Russia, Ukraine, USA, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Poland, Indonesia, France, Germany, Israel, and Argentina.
Summer Sol's concept reminds us that under the sun's rays we are all equal, regardless of skin colour, gender, political allegiances or sexuality. This release is a celebration of how music brings people together, and that diversity is something to embrace with open arms.
Each of the tracks on this compilation have been hand selected by Sabo with the intention to uplift the body, open the mind, and touch the soul.
In addition to working with Sol Selectas, many of the artists on this release have also featured on other respected record labels such as MoBlack Records, Monaberry, Pipe & Pochet, Anjunadeep, Hoomidaas, Abracadabra Music, Cosmic Awakenings, 3000 Grad Records, Akbal Music, and many others of equal note.
All the previous Summer Sol releases have been top sellers on Beatport, and this landmark tenth edition is expected to be no different.
The artwork by Helia Jamali captures a desert oasis shimmering with warmth and wonder. A perfect invitation to dive into the waters of positive frequencies.

"Freefalling" is more than music—it's a meditation on the human condition, a sonic prayer from Veytik's inner world. Marking his debut EP on Circle, he opens the year with a resonant message for the mind, body, and spirit.

This offering invites us to let go—to quiet the noise of a restless mind, to release the weight of lingering shadows. Drawn from a life of contemplation and the trials of an overactive inner world, Veytik transforms overwhelm into release, and darkness into a sacred space for light to enter.

At the heart of "Freefalling" lies his interpretation of clair-obscur—the dance between shadow and illumination. In the spiritual sense, it is the art of embracing both the ache and the awakening. Here, Veytik invites us not to fear the dark but to walk through it, and in doing so, find depth, beauty, and balance.

A perfect portal for those in search of a deeper escape, the EP opens with brooding pads that stir the soul, only to be lifted by his ethereal piano lines and warm guitar phrases—each note a brushstroke on a canvas of inner transformation. This is music for the inward traveler and the moonlit festival dreamer alike.

Summer Solstice. Deer antlers come off, Cicadas begin to chirp, Pinellia ternata (banxia in Chinese, same characters with Midsummer) comes.
Marking the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, the beginning of Summer Solstice is considered the middle of the summer and the beginning of the hottest part of summer.
[Original Mix]: When daylight peaks, Yin begins to stir. As Yang energy crests and fades, antlers shed in response to Yin, just like kintsugi mending broken pottery. Earthenware cracks hum with zen wisdom.
[Domingo + Loveclub Remix]: In marshlands where banxia sprouts, bass currents coil like roots. Through the monsoon's thunder, rhythm and electronic pulses conjure primal rites.
[ÜNAM & Happy Paul Remix]: Cicadas drum their bellies, piercing forests with newborn song. Synthesized light shimmers like beating wings, leaping into summer’s fierce sun, bursting with honeyed sensuality.
[blue Dietrich Remix]: Organ melodies brush the shadowless Tropic of Cancer at high noon. Downtempo rhythms drift like sultry breeze, carrying the cool aroma of wheat noodles, sliding into languorous timelessness.
Four millennia ago, gnomon measurements fixed this celestial pivot, birthing the 24 solar terms. Bonsai inherits this cosmic legacy, transforming penzai (pronounced "bonsai" when exported to Japan in Tang Dynasty) and kintsugi’s lacquer philosophy into global beats. On the year’s longest night, we offer the world an oriental microcosm glowing with "In Praise of Shadows".

PREMIERE: Desert Raven - Bonsai (Domingo + Loveclub Remix) [Autumn Equinox]

We present the Karachi Rolling Remixes. Last summer, we released label head Saqib's 'KARACHI ROLLING' EP, a hard-hitting, high-energy two track EP showcasing a very unique sound.
This summer, we present three unique takes on the original that span from breakbeats/ electronica to melodic house + techno and back to indie dance.
London based duo B.o.T (Khayal Khan and Dan Calabrese) are back on the label with a high energy remix that is bold and club-focused.  
AREUBLUE (Shyam Lalani) makes his debut on Beats On Time. He is a multi-instrumentalist, music producer and talented selector known for his releases on Indo Warehouse, hailing from Philadelphia by way of India. He presents a remix that sits somewhere in-between breaks, electronica and indie dance. The perfect track to reset a dancefloor or segue in-between genres.
Sam Jaspersohn presents a unique remix that is brooding, melodic and dark. A swirling, trance-like exploration of the original that takes you to another place altogether. Imagine if Karachi Rolling was a movie and it was directed by Darren Aronofsky - this would be the soundtrack.
Finally, Saqib's original mix of Karachi Rolling closes out the EP. Karachi Rolling is written from the eyes of a passenger in the back of a rickshaw riding around the city of Karachi, weaving in and out of alleys (gullies), swerving past cars, and narrated by a rickshaw driver (Saqib) on the mic.
