The latest release from Tash's Movement Recordings finds Alexandros DjKevinGr, Greg Ignatovich, James Trystan and Rauschhaus joining forces for two special collaborations. This quartet of artists have all achieved measurable success in their respective solo careers, with a collective discography highlighted by releases on Beatfreak, Disco Halal, Diynamic, Ellum, Parquet Recordings, Stil Vor Talent and Sudbeat Music. Their affinity for crafting cutting edge sounds always comes with a keen nose for the dance floor and in turn has earned praise from the world's most highly regarded DJs such as Hernan Cattaneo, Maceo Plex, Pete Tong and Sasha. Now landing on Movement for a rare project, the quartet presents 'All Alone / Arctic' alongside remixes from Miss Monique and Morttagua. 

With 'All Alone', Alexandros, Greg and James craft a peak time slice of progressive techno. Beginning with muscular beats, striking electronics and fiery percussion, the trio introduce an astral narrative led by emotive arps and ethereal vocal phrases. Smooth chord changes flow through a bed of crunchy rhythms, providing a greater emotional lean leading into the break. The centrepiece highlights the vocal further, expanding its impassioned scope, before shifting energy into a soaring finale.

We celebrate the 20th release on YOMO with the first installment of EVERY DIRECTION, our new sampler series featuring fresh talent from around the globe, exploring a broad range of musical styles.

First up is Helsinki-based Joonas Ylitalo under his Mode Apart alias with his track “Kashuni”. Energetic driving beats and iconic lead synths form a powerful combination of Progressive House and etheral Techno.

Eric Lune from Melbourne delivers his best work to date in the form of “Jouska”, a solid progressive groover that stands out for its beautiful and emotive main melody accompanied by angelic vocal textures.

Out of Cambridge comes super-talented producer Greig Skivington aka Teknaut with “Moments”, a deep and atmospheric Progressive House gem that already saw some early support from Tim Penner.

Swedish duo Nord & Dahl are no strangers to YOMO and we’re happy to welcome them back with their heavy yet melodic techno sound. “Sector 5” with its earthshaking kicks and hypnotic arps is a surefire club monster!

Chilean producer & dj Fuenzalida rounds off Every Direction 01 with “Hold Me”, a stomping Tech House affair bursting with South-American energy that will take the roof off any dancefloor.

Wally Lopez has developed a universally loved unique style; a dynamic, groovy, deep and hypnotic fusion of genres that perfectly fits in any kind of club or open-air festival. Wally's releases have always received high acclaim from the world leading lights of electronic music. For his debut release on ICONYC we're excited to welcome Teenage Mutants & Mononoid to bring us their take on Wally's debut single 'All has Changed'. 

Wally who knows a thing or two when it comes to mind blowing productions, delivers an irresistible track that kicks things off nicely with the melancholic vibes setting the tone. He roams effortlessly through progressive inspired melodies, while the sultry chords sit wonderfully on top of the driving percussive foundation. Wally takes it up a notch by adding an extra layer of depth, whilst upping the flow with cleverly programmed drumming and his trademark FX elements, without destroying the essence of the main groove. His work deserves to be branded 'essential' in any sense of the word.

On remix duty we welcome German techno titans' Teenage mutants, for their debut on ICONYC. Teenage Mutants who are known for their driving and refined sound, keep the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general drive all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear yet sounding totally fresh - This massive touch up takes the energy quantities up a level and increases the drive with stripped back and lucid elements, before the energetic groove creates a blanket of warmth that will put a smile on your face.

The second remix comes courtesy of label all-stars Mononoid, who bring a more progressive edge to 'All has Changed'. Their rework creates a good feel vibe from the word go, as the atmospheric and driving vibe keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces that continue building to culminate into a lovely progressive house groover. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as this restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a stunning glow, creating an air of sophistication.

With the talent on offer, Wally Lopez's 'All has Changed' manages to deliver a message of sustained musical relevance in emphatic fashion to warm the soul. Not to be missed! They start out with a deep and heavy kick, like a real club banger would. Then they slowly introduce vocals and spacy melodic shots. Making this a beautiful and unique mix between heavy and spacy. Just how we like it!

Cyantist - Tabula Rasa (Original Mix)
Another heavy duty track by Cyantist! The wobbling synth makes for the perfect introduction. Like a crazed snakes it creep towards the first drop, accompanied by a spacy high pitched lead. After a melodic interlude they keep on going strong in which all elements seem to keep evolving. A wonderful creation!

Cyantist - Elevate (Cian Moynagh Remix)
Cian turned Elevate into a wonderful deep melodic journey. A mesmerizing arpeggio and smartly placed percussions lead the way towards the first break where he introduces the heavenly vocals and the growling bassline. With all these elements he manages to create a wonderful symbiose that result in this amazing remix. A job very well done by Cian Moynagh!

Cyantist - Tabula Rasa (Di Rugerio Remix)
Di Rugerio took a minimalist approach in this remix, giving each element a clear purpose and with that, power! His build up with his percussions is simple yet effective. Once the percussions, bass and melodies have fused together, the dream is complete in which one can get lost and drift away. A subtle yet strong track by Di Rugerio!
