Little Birds is a song that shows the more unencumbered side of Polymers musical taste. A green field in the summertime, where birds and rabbits are frolicking around, having a good time. The track was made during the cold wintermonths of 2020, as a necessary medication against the cold and dark days during lockdown, as an attempt to bring the summer into the studio in times of quarantine.

Polymer is a project by interdisciplinary artist Daniel Maalman, who besides a musician and producer, is also a sonic artist who turns buildings and objects into musical compositions. Over the years Daniels musical mission as Polymer became to distill his broad taste in music into one Elixir that can be used to turn any dance floor into a festive multiverse. Genres such as organic house, dub, techno, psychedelic techno, ambient and world music are stirred together into a big genre defying stew that is always brewing and evolving.

For us, this EP is like a dialectic of listening, a revelation.
In the unobtrusive, almost inconspicuous, there is a form of restraint that is the essence of the “Meeronauten” and that draws our attention in their silent and almost secret way.

Andreas Balicki combines the restrained calm of percussive rhythms with powerful bass lines and wide spheres in cozy dreams. A very special world is created, which arises hidden in the depths of the forest, initially revealing itself only hesitantly in order to unfold its full potential in ecstasy.

This flight is accompanied by an earthy-hypnotic remix by the German-South African duo @ladsmusique, who, with their very own style, sensitively combine precision and soul at the same time.
