Swen entdeckte bereits im Alter von zwölf Jahren seine Leidenschaft für elektronische Musik. Dies geschah, als er den großen Bruder einer Freundin kennenlernte, der seit 1989 im Dorian Grey am Flughafen Frankfurt auflegte. Durch ihn wurde Swen mit den ersten Technoklängen vertraut gemacht, die sein Interesse weckten und ihn faszinierten.

Die Begeisterung für diese damals neue Musik ließ ihn nicht mehr los. Seit diesem Moment hat ihn die Welt der elektronischen Musik immer wieder aufs Neue inspiriert und begeistert. Swen sparte sein Taschengeld und investierte jeden Cent in Vinyls, um seine eigene Sammlung aufzubauen und sich intensiv mit der elektronischen Musikszene auseinanderzusetzen.

Diese frühe Begegnung mit elektronischer Musik und seine Hingabe für Vinyls legten den Grundstein für Swen Baez' Karriere als DJ. Durch seine Liebe zur Musik, sein Talent für das Mixen und seine unbändige Leidenschaft für elektronische Klänge der mit seinem Sound die Partycrowd begeistert.

SWEN BAEZ - born 1977 - is one of germany´s techno originals that were part of the rise of techno in the 90s. Growing up with vinyls and cassettes he is one of the last DJs who appreciate the real value of great music. And this is how it all starts:
While other kids spend their money for candy in school, Swen saves his last pennies to buy tapes or single vinyls. He continues collecting music and reaches a huge amount of vinyls when he meets the resident DJ of the well-known „dorian gray“ in Frankfurt in 1991 and learns from him.
At the age of 18 everything changes: the death of his father completely crashes his life. Turning thirty he looses again. His mother and both of his grandparents die within two years. Despite this he never loses his creativity and his incredible optimism. He starts using music as a drug to cure his mental wounds and to immortalise the people he loves. Because of his father´s influence, soul music is an important fragment of his sound. Mixing this with hiphop elements from his youth and memories of all the loved ones, he creates a breathtaking sound, that empowers and gives hope.
„Sharing my passion with others and seeing the emotions in their eyes is a feeling beyond words. I guess that´s what has helped me through hard times.“ With this passion for music and people he spreads the real vibes that techno music stands for: JOY, TOLERANCE AND LOVE!

SWEN BAEZ wird 1977 geboren und zählt seit den frühen Anfängen der 90er zu Deutschlands eingeschweißter Technoszene. Als einer der letzten DJs wächst er noch mit Vinyls und Kassetten auf und schätzt ihren wahren Wert. 
Und so fängt alles an:
Während andere Kids ihr Pausengeld für Minipizzen und Schokomilch ausgeben, zählt für SWEN etwas ganz anderes. Er spart jeden Pfennig für die nächste Kassette oder Single Vinyl und häuft sich eine riesige Sammlung an. 1991 lernt er mit nur 14 Jahren den Resident DJ des berühmten „Dorian Gray“ in Frankfurt kennen, der ihm zum ersten Einstieg ins DJ-ing und in die Techno Szene verhilft. 
Als er 18 wird, verändert sich plötzlich sein ganzes Leben durch einen tiefen Einschnitt - den Tod seines Vaters. Gerade 30 geworden, verliert er erneut - seine Mutter und beide Großeltern. Und dennoch lässt Swen sich nie unterkriegen und verliert niemals seine bahnbrechende Kreativität und seinen inspirierenden Optimismus. 
Musik ist für ihn seitdem die Droge, die seine seelischen Wunden heilt und die Erinnerungen an seine geliebten Menschen bewahrt.
Mit den souligen Elementen verewigt er seinen Vater in allen Tracks und Sets. Durch die Verbindung mit Hip-Hop Einflüssen seiner Jugend und den Erinnerungen an seine geliebten Menschen, kreiert er einen atemberaubenden Sound, der euphorisiert und bestärkt.
„Meine Leidenschaft mit anderen zu teilen und die Emotionen in Ihren Augen zu sehen ist ein unbeschreibliches Gefühl. Das hat mich immer durch schwere Zeiten gebracht und das möchte ich weitergeben.“ Mit seiner Leidenschaft zu Musik und seinen Mitmenschen verbreitet Swen Baez die wahre Message von Techno: Freude, Toleranz und Liebe.
