2nd album in a few months? I honestly had no idea Taylor was dropping new music until this morning when I was searching for songs to cover. As always, when I see new music by her, I cover it! Here is my spicy cover of “no body, no crime.”

What makes it Spicy?

Throughout several points in the song, I added some licks and phrases to give it my own feel. For example, midway through the first verse, I do a few chord voicings similar to an R&B vibe to spice it up. Also, after the second verse, I added an interlude to go into the bridge a bit more smoothly.

I also did a small amount of reharmonization of the chords during the verse and chorus. 

As always, instead of using generic open chord voicings, I instead used more complex shapes that give the song more energy and life. An example would be the first chord, the Amin. Instead of a normal Amin shape, I chose to either play a Amin7(add11), Amin9, or Amin13. This goes for all the chords in the song. Take a look and notice I don’t use a single open voicing (maybe I did once, but wither way, its not common).
