▮ Artist about the track: "I just wanted to put a lot of different elements on the same track. I was so inspired by SOPHIE as always, and I wanted to make something that could sound raw and nasty but powerful at the same time. I had 3 concepts on my mind: baile funk, SOPHIE, and psytrance. The atmosphere that I really wanted to feel with this track was like a super angry person non-stop dancing with a lot of energy."

As part of the Zeitgeist mix series, we will be featuring experimental artists & DJs from Brooklyn to Berlin.  We’re inspired by their sound and hope you are too.  Here’s more about us! 

Zeitgeist is more than a party.  It’s an idea, a platform, a collective. We are searching for meaning in hedonism.  Although we are not confined by genre, we focus on forms of “hard” sound — upbeat, heavy, & a little chaotic.

Kicking off our first mix release in our artist series, we have invited Rabbit Crime (They/Them), an NYC-based DJ notorious for playing tracks with high energy and even higher tempos. Their taste is amalgamated from the trenches of youtube nightcore, aiming to make the dancefloor bounce to hardcore mashups and do the caramelldansen. 

This mix for Zeitgeist celebrates Rabbit Crime's roots in intimate Orlando warehouse raves and incorporates their newer inspirations from NYC's vast music scenes and constant blasting energy. They are so incredibly sorry for party rocking.

Yapa Rayada vol.2 is the  second V/A Album of original tracks, by Volquete ( @volquete ) that will be available next September 27th. It gathers producers from all over the world in an album that tackles percussive tools to destroy the dancefloor, as well as ambient, murga burst, Japanese Gorge and music for the tribes of 2090. All with the sacred quota of experimentation and resonance 100% volquete. This track by CIAN ( @ciannnn ) will be included in this release!

VOLQUETE is a platform based in Buenos Aires that promotes the exploration of resonant and percussive music. Its quest is to be a lens to amplify those sounds that deform and resignify rhythms from the south of the world in an experimental and club key.
