At a time when bands gravitate towards historical pastiche, Late TV have taken their classic funk, disco and jazz influences into deep inventive waters to emerge with something unique and vital. Its complex lyrical themes about dissatisfaction with quotidian life are presented through the flamboyant instrumentation of a six-piece group who sound like a funk jazz orchestra.
