This has to be one of the most creative mixes I have been able to work on so far in my bhangra mixing career; it is a truly special experience when you throw an idea that, at first, seems so "out there", and have it slowly morph into something so beautiful and audio-visually stunning. In classical music, a composer’s magnum opus is their best work. Dvorak’s 9th, aka the New World is widely used in pop culture, even being used in the final battle between Luffy and Crocodile in One Piece. Beethoven’s 9th has the ode to joy, one of the most well known melodies to ever exist. It is said that while making the magnum opus, the composer is blessed by God himself and is allowed to see into fate itself, making profound revelations that affect musical trends for generations.

This is my magnum opus. This mix piece has been in the making for almost a year, and within this year, I have made my own revelations about mixing, set making, and my own identity. One could even say this is a culmination of who I am as a person, and I share these fleeting moments with you. I want to thank Cornell Bhangra for pushing me to become the mixer and dancer I am, and I want to thank everyone who has stuck with me on this wild journey. I hope you all enjoy <3
