Lua (Pippi Ciez Retake)

Paris-based duo Alex H. and Adrian C ended last year on a high with ‘Journey’, a super stylish new album on Kindisch in December. It was full of deep, spiritual, emotional sounds and is now followed up with a trio of top singles. Between this pair they have studied filmmaking in NYC and violin and piano at the Conservatory of Paris and travel the world picking up disparate influences and inspiration from nature. All of that infuses this first richly detailed new cut.

'Mi Pena' is a gloriously lush house tune lit up with sensuous synth strings. They bring a sense of class as the drums roll deep and vocals slowly emerge to bring the soul. It's a track that will ignite cosy crowds and intimate dance floors with its mix of elastic groove and heart warming atmosphere.

This single is the start of another standout year for Birds of Mind.

Birds of Mind are back on Get Physical with the second of three singles that are planned for 2022. 

Paris-based duo Alex H. and Adrian C are still riding high off their stylish full length on Kindisch back in December as well as their hugely well received ‘Mi Pena’ single on Get Physical which topped the Beatport Organic House chart. With all their music over the years, they mix up deep moods, spiritual atmospheres and artful synth craft, which is the case again here. 

'No Time For Tears' is a languid house groove that uplifts your spirits. The loose-limbed drums get you moving while pensive chords bring the emotion. The breakdown is a majestic one with wispy synths and string-like chords that are golden and balmy before the drums drop again. 

This is another richly detailed house track from the ever-evolving @birds-of-mind.

She has a tasteful sound that draws on deep, afro and melodic influences and has played at iconic venues such as Space Ibiza and Sankeys Manchester. Residing in Sydney, her productions earn her a regular place in the Beatport Charts and receive playtime from the likes of Black Coffee, Jimi Jules and Rüfüs Du Sol. Here she works with Black Hole Recordings associate Treetalk on a characterful new single. The superb 'Losing My Religion' is a deep and steamy house cut with well-defined drum grooves and melancholic pads that bring a new perspective to this classic song. The vocal is an iconic one that takes on a different feel as it unfolds over the rueful grooves. This marks a fine label debut for this collaborative pair.
