The musical output of London based label Switched On Records has been essential listening for those immersed in the Underground UK house scene for the past couple of years. Their second ever release, from label boss S.E.F, featured the heavyweight track 'M.O.E.' which became an anthem on the London House circuit. Since then the label has gone from strength to strength providing a platform for the wealth of talented, British producers who are pushing the boundaries of the conventional house sound and giving it that UK edge.

Their fifteenth release carries on this tradition with two huge beats from North London-based DJ/Producer Harry Ley. Since bursting on to the UK scene last year, Harry has been making quite a name for himself with releases and remixes dropping on many of big name labels within the London Underground scene.

His latest track 'Somebody' is a high energy number which combines weighty bass stabs with crazy vocal chops to produce a serious piece of dance-floor weaponry which is bound to do some damage in a dance near you soon.

The Deeper Frequencies EP is out on Switched On Records, May 11th.

To kick things off for 2016 we start things as we mean to go on by welcoming Archie B to our ranks. With releases on CR2 records and plays from the legendary Pete Tong and Roger Sanchez to name a few, we are delighted to have him on board at Switched On Records.

Staying true to his influences of the UK Underground the Oxford native delivers two peak time tracks leading with powerful vocals and his signature stomping bass and synth lines that will certainly get the party started whenever they are dropped.

On remix duty label boss S.E.F takes things darker with his stripped back, bass heavy dub of Like I Love drawing on his signature underground sound palette with a vibe that is sure to damage dance floors everywhere.

Deamonds of East London Club Trax returns to Switched On Records after his debut release back in 2012. His take on ‘Like I Love You’ is a percussive master class that only he could deliver in his unique and innovative style.

Label favourites, F Projekt, take things up tempo with an absolute roller of a remix of Give My All that once again is firmly aimed at getting things going anytime it’s dropped.

Overall a high energy package that we hope you enjoy playing and listening to as we did making them!

Records come and go. Set to be broken. Labels hinder. So here's the anti label. 

Switched On Records is born out of a desire to free the music. A working lifetime in London's underground music industry has seen many collaborations come and go for S.E.F some prosperous and successful, others not so much, but that is when you learn the most.

The founding of this label brings together the two main platforms of the "Switched On" brand. Switched On Productions can boast some of the world's largest broadcasters as satisfied customers. Couple this with a keen ear to the underground and a passion for good music, it's clear to see why some of London's most sought after talents are beating a path to S.E.F's door to jump on his latest foray into the music business. 

Placing the record and television business side by side allows for a clearer focus, a more efficient work flow and less conflict of interest as there was when setting up a separate entity.

This time it's personal. Self-sufficiency is the key to success, not relying on anyone to put your music out according to their schedule, priorities and other matters irrelevant to the artist. It's not necessarily how fast we can get you heard but where your heard and by who.
