Covidoff'. This track already represents the heavy grooves which are present throughout the full EP. The synthwork smoothly matches the groove and together they are forming a perfect interplay. The minimalistic development of the track ensures that the break and its build-up are becoming pretty intense, after which the arrangement goes on in its trusted rhythm. Loris Frigau took the atmospheric and dreamy ambiance of the original and surrounded it with a second layer of warm elements. At one point these layers have to make place for the harsh and falling melody, but after a while this melody got wrapped again by the positive and pleasant ambiance. This minimalistic remix forms a perfect end to this sophisticated EP.

Felsina is a tribute to Bologna at its most experimental and underground. It tells of a journey of research, scouting, passion and innovation within the electronic music scene, in the city and elsewhere.  With tracks selected and mixed directly by the founder of the Switch Music Recordings label, Roberto Affuso (aka Light Minded) Felsina wants to celebrate the approximately 30 releases published since the label's foundation in 2016. This "best of" is divided into two discs: "Night-Shift" to celebrate the energy of the musically demanding clubbing scene, and "Open-Minded", for more refined ears attentive to quality listening-oriented electronic music. A massive collection of more than 50 tracks, including unreleased, reissues and reinterpretations featuring numerous artists in addition to Light Minded's personal productions. A perfect combination of Techno, Ambient, Intelligent Dance Music, Industrial, Indietronica, and Berlin School elements.
The experimental nature of Light Minded and its label shapes this magnificent collection with great accuracy.

Switch Music Recordings celebrates the first year of activity with its first various artists compilation. 
Play Group Vol. 1 - Alternative Electronic and Modern Left-Field is a collection of several tracks made by artists closed to the label. A fluid listening that alternates electronic and techno sounds in the usual experimental way loved by Switch Music Recordings. 
Circuit Bender and Velvet are tracks by Light Minded, where his techno soul is expressed in his most experimental side, but melodic at the same time. This is then enclosed in the remix of OAU (Torakiki feat. Giulia Olivari). OAU is an extract track by Torakiki of his album released by the band in 2016.
Routine and Fast Romances are Spong-X' s tracks. These new released tracks follow his usual style in mixing warm melodies with techno sounds. Routine is a deep techno track that sounds like the anxiety generated by the daily routine, while Fast Romances wants to be more faster in the same techno-electronic mood. 
Bist and Cixxx J have produced a single work, Green Window, divided in two tracks, Beat Pad and Fantasia Veneziana. Ipnotic sounds broken by an hard kick drum and techno rhythms. Outside from their label Noisybeat for this time to take part to this various artist.
Femdom is the Giulia Benedicta's track. The singer-songwriter expresses her experimental side through a pleasant song. Drum beats, arpeggiators and effected voice loop mixed in the typical dark and deep electro way of the artist.
Gino Di Fazio, pianist and keyboardist, made two tracks for the label presenting himself as electronic music producer. A sidereal trip features by broken rhythms, alien atmospheres and fine melodies.

Modus Operandi is Kana’s first EP released on Switch Music Recordings. It’s a brief journey through contrasts. On one side, ethereal and wide atmospheres, on the other glitchy and broken percussions. The aim is to find a balance between the deep, introspective side and the more concrete and material one. The result is a bunch of noisy loops floating on cold yet organic synth sounds, geometrical rhythms clashing with digital pads and arpeggios.

Using languages like JavaScript with the evolved DAWs, and with analogue and digital instruments, this release confirms the mature sound design experience and the unique clubbing approach of this Italian artist.
The whirring riff is hypnotic, and the moment it gets going it creates a strong energetic pulse.
The atmosphere reaches its climax before continuing to roll out in its creeping malevolence. With accented bass-lines, strong personality, IDM and melodic Ambient influences, every track presents a Sci-fi background that can fire up the dancefloor and embrace all with pure electricity.

Light Minded, or Roberto Affuso, stands out for its approach, which reflects his attention to new technologies without ever moving away definitively from the past: ranging from hypnotic, ambient or left-field sounds and blending the traditional drum machines and vintage synthesizers with the latest computer technologies. Having been playing since the nineties, in 2009 he became the art director of Switch, electronic music party based in Bologna, and now the co-founder of Switch Music Recordings, a record label that crosses the deepest techno as well as the most delicate electronic vibes. His sets have supported artists like Terence Fixmer, Perc, Ellen Allien, Adam Beyer, Maceo Plex and more - he also plays with other Switch musicians to create live sets and multimedia installations that range from classical contemporary to IDM.
