Battling The Warlock (Quest of the Hero)

Another piece I did for the folks at Quest of the Hero.  No actual crystals involved,  but the title is a tribute to the series that inspired the style of the piece. Final Fantasy had a tremendous impact and importance on me growing up, particularly with regards to Uematsu's awesome compositions.

I was working on a song performed by a character in a novel I finished up recently, and a friend joked that it should be made to sound like the theme from David the Gnome. So, I went back and revisited that particular part of my childhood, and after being hit full force by the nostalgia, was struck by how much the title theme already sounded like a power metal song - It practically screamed Sonata Arctica. So, the following little bit of noodling ensued.
