Sabo live Katerblau Kiosk 

Here's the recording for my DJ set from July 2nd, 2017 at the Katerblau Kiosk, hands down my favorite place to play music in Berlin.  The whole venue is a wonderland of discovery, the staff is extremely kind and hospitable, and I don't think I've played for a more open minded crowd in all of Europe. Longer sets allows you to take your time and be patient with the music, and the mixing.  The slow building journey I had imagined in my mind, was possible to make a reality, and extra time allowed me to experiment as well. This was probably my favorite gig of my entire 2 month Summer Sol Europe Tour. I hope you enjoy this mix as much as I had creating it in the Kiosk.  Thanks to Mira, Britta, Martin, Claudia, Joyce, David, Brett, Toto, Sylvie, Dorin, any other friends I may have forgotten who were there, and especially to all you lovely dancers who joined me on this ride. By some inexplicable act of the universe, we were entrusted with steering the Spirit Train through the golden hours of Saturday afternoon. The wind had stopped, the sky was ablaze and we were on such a radical contact high from the energy on the dance floor that we can barely recall a thing.

This recording serves as a reminder that this all actually happened.
Thank you to the Spirit Train crew for making this possible. And thank you to our family for anchoring the front of the floor and for one of the best weeks we can remember.

This magical set from Catori was recorded live at the Creek Cafe at the PYNK X Gathering in Vermont on August 3rd, 2019. We loved this deep and emotional set of gorgeous music -- we immediately asked her to record a mix for our little radio show -- turns out the set was recorded and we are thrilled to present it here for your listening pleasure. <3

Catori works with sound both electronically and acoustically. Her style ranges from organic tribal house and to ambient meditation soundscapes. With early influences ranging from Latin to reggae and onward to her classical training in voice and violin, she draws inspiration from a rich cultural upbringing and international exploration.

The little witch woke up in the middle of the night, while the whole forest was still in a state of deep sleep.  This was very unusual as the girl is generally a very good sleeper.  She quickly realized the following night there would be a full moon, which meant she’ll participate in the monthly witch coven.  Her deeper instinct told her it was time to wake up and start flying, just following her inner compass.  She rarely flies at night and she knew this meant her destination would be far away.  Judging the position of the pole star, she knew she was flying towards the Northeast.  After witnessing a glorious sunrise over the Kattegat sea strait, she flew over a vast green country with big forests and lakes.  It was only at that point that the girl realized she was leaving a red smoke trail behind.  Just at that moment she saw a blue vapor trail in the distance, coming straight from the North.  That could only be another witch.  Both witches touched down gently at exactly the same moment, in a clearing at the side of a little lake in the middle of a vast pine forest, where a 500 year-old witch was waiting for them with a smile.  The witch from the North turned out to be a young woman with long blond hair, wearing a light blue dress.  Strangely, the women were unable to do their customary group hug as both young witches were surrounded by a strong energy field.  So they kept their distance while slipping out of their clothes and enjoying a refreshing bath in the ice cold water of the lake.
After that, the girls found out a 5 meter gap was the closest they could get before their energy fields would collide again, pushing them back to a safe distance.  Meanwhile, the elder witch had prepared some magic ink in a cauldron, and with an owl’s feather she drew a mystic symbol on the feet of the little witch.  After drying out, the ink changed its color to an intensely warm shade of red.  Meanwhile, the elder witch drew the same symbol on the feet of the Nordic witch and – despite using the same ink – the color changed magically into an intensely cool shade of blue.  She repeated this process until the bodies of both young witches were covered from top to toe under a great number of mystic symbols, all with the same red color on the skin of the little witch from the South, and a blue color on the blond witch from the North.  At that moment, the 500-year old witch encouraged the 2 youngsters to come closer to each other.  The little witch sensed that the energy field was still present, but didn’t block her anymore.  And while she slowly approached the Scandinavian witch, the symbols on her skin started to emit an intense red glow, while the symbols on the other girl emitted an electrifying blue glow.  The glowing became stronger and stronger as they came closer to each other and on top of that, a forceful wind started to blow around them, sending a deafening roar through the trees while the 2 witches were in the middle of this vortex.  And when they finally touched each other, a snow blizzard erupted while a blazing sun was shining on their naked skin at the same time.  The two interlocked witches started to whirl around inside the vortex… the little witch felt so united with the blonde witch, that their bodies seemed to merge, until all of a sudden the wind abated and the snow blizzard had gone while both witches loosened the grip on each other.  To her amazement, the little witch saw that the symbols on the other witch had a mesmerizing purple glow now, after which she realized the symbols on her own skin had exactly the same color.  After that, they once again gave a tender hug to each other, but this time there was no tension and everything was in harmony.  They both couldn’t figure out what had happened, but this just felt so good …
