This stunning album has been lovingly, and meticulously crafted by the Brighton based legend over the past 2 years, and features a stunning array of collaborators from across the Jungle Drum & Bass spectrum. The Lp has been a massive undertaking for DJ Hybrid and the responses to it have been outstanding. The material is musically moving, powerful and guaranteed to resonate with both young and old audience alike. There are tracks that will go down perfectly in the club and are fitting for the airwaves all at once. Even more, the LP is historically relevant as it marks the strong unity between two label heads in the UK & US Jungle, Drum & Bass scene.

Coming June 2023: @BasicRhythm x Blood Trust - Blood Rhythm EP. This innovative collaboration between electronic musician Basic Rhythm (Anthoney J Hart) and rising star Blood Trust (Quinn Smith) features four tracks of dark, experimental drum and bass, inspired by the late 1990s.

Basic Rhythm, known for his London underground dance music roots, blends UK dance music heritage with contemporary sounds. Blood Trust, on the other hand, transcends genre boundaries, focusing on atmospheric narratives to challenge conventional electronic music perceptions.

The "Blood Rhythm EP" showcases the sweet spot between Basic Rhythm's raw dance floor approach and Blood Trust's atmospheric sound. Expect a powerful, dark, and immersive journey back to the golden age of drum and bass, while still exploring new sonic territories.

Randall is a long term favourite of ours at The Blast so its an honour to have snared an exclusive promo mix from the great man. 

Randall is what they call an original Junglist, the DJs’ DJ. If you ask Andy C or Friction who inspired their mixing style, they’ll say Randall. He started DJing in the mid 80s after hearing acid house at Notting Hill Carnival and quickly fell in love with rave culture.  After making a name for himself on pirate radio and the illegal rave circuit, Randall’s career really took off with his legendary sets at AWOL and World Dance. He fast established himself as one of the elite of the emerging drum & bass scene, with an unsurpassed tune selection and an impeccable reputation behind the turntables that he has maintained to this day.  

Now over two decades since he started spinning tunes, Randall remains one of the most forward thinking musicians and DJs on the drum & bass circuit so its a huge honour for us to be able to host this mix.

Inspired by the new movie - The Force Awakens. This nearly 2hr all vinyl set, samples many well known and some rare early 90's Darkside Jungle Tekno. Not for the faint-hearted, full of Darkcore bangers, peppered with many original Starwars samples.  It took me a while to make and I'm quite proud of it! 

Shout outs to The Jungle Massive Crew - Matto, Dj Speaks (and Gary from Tactical Aspect), Dj Vision & Janie Prickle. A special thanks to Bizzy B - Big Ups and Maximum respect! The set contains at least 4 or 5 of his legendary tunes, especially Murder Style - Original and 2004 remix.
