Seta Loto, an Italian producer and DJ based in Berlin, brings us into his sonic world with his debut EP Earth Related System, released in November 2023 on Comic Sans Records. This five-track EP builds a deep composition that seamlessly combines minimal bass, techno, dub, and dancehall, capturing the pulse of tectonic shifts through intricate sound design. In October 2024, his second EP, Partial Pressure, was released on the Parisian label De la... je l’espère. Inspired by Dalton’s Law, it creates an almost alchemical tension between harmony and individuality within the soundscape.

Touring across Europe in cities like Berlin, Amsterdam, and Milan, Seta Loto invites listeners to join his musical journey through features on Rinse France, Radio Flouka, FlashLab, and Fritto FM.

This winter has been busier for me than usual music-wise, and I’m very grateful. I put out an EP with Ommaya Records in December, did multiple mixes for other peoples’ mix series, and had a whopping three gigs lined up in January! It’s been a lot of fun and I’m excited to have some external momentum behind my music lately, as my personal/work life has been busy too, and I can def use the extra push from the universe to not neglect my musical practice. Stay tuned for more to come in 2025!  

This season’s mix is an amalgamation of what I played for those three gigs in January. Each was a different degree of planned vs. improvised, and I combined my favorite parts of each tracklisting into one 2-hour set for this one. If you saw me at Afterlife for joosed, the Ommaya Records takeover, or Ara and Keegan’s house party you’ll probably recognize some of the blends, and I hope it brings back a fun memory (and not one of me ejecting the wrong USB or causing the decks to be restarted).
