Leeds-based Junior has served up an hour of dubbed out, bubbling thru bits, he teeters the line perfectly with tracks you want to hear out while also suiting that sweet home listening. Really wicked stuff inside this one, dig in. 
We also caught up with the man himself for a lil chat, read below > 

AM: Ez mate! How have you been recently?

Ey up! Yeah been doing well to be honest, living the good life. I’ve just been working on a lot projects and also partying a lot. No rest for the wicked! In all seriousness though, I’ve never really felt so energised to get stuck in and support friends :)

AM: Where and how did you record the mix & what was the idea behind it? A theme as such or? 

Well I recorded this mix in the NARR Studio based in Release Records here in Leeds. I feel very fortunate to be able to head down there, plug in and record. The space is so lovely and. I feel like I can really get in the zone, despite occasionally getting told to off for ragging it a bit to loud - no such thing imo.. To be honest, this mix is inspired by an afters I attended when down in Bristol the other week. I just have a very fond memory of melting into sofa - but dancing in my head - whilst a certain friend played a bunch of dubbed out records. I guess this mix is an ode to that!

AM: Tell us a bit about yourself, see you’ve been promoting a fair bit in Leeds + are on the airwaves a lot :) 

Well I guess I’ve been dabbling back into the promoter life since the end of lockdown, this has been a bit of a god send. Quite luckily, I recently started working as a programmer for a grotty DIY warehouse space called Freedom Mills here in Leeds. Getting to run the in-house parties has be wicked. I get a lot of joy from bringing new faces and friend to Leeds and hosting them for the weekend. Starting a new party, THIRDSPACE, has been a dope opportunity to book in some more experimental/ Left-field oriented stuff that is pretty different to the staple Leeds sound. Lots of cool stuff to come this year do sure. I host a monthly on Noods radio and a bi monthly on NARR which definitely gave me a sense of purpose during lockdown. It’s also been an amazing way to platform friends and artists that influence me!

AM: What have ya been digging & listening to recently? 

Ahaha where do I begin! Been massively diggin labels such as Pressure Dome, Reel Long Overdub, Youth, BRUK, Club Night Club just to name a few. I am really enjoying listening to some new stuff that mates are sending me! Dome Zero, Lewi Boome, Flytipper and DJ ojo are all sat on a scandalous amount of unreleased music that people need to hear. Radio wise, host such as k means (Noods), Zoe Pea (Noods), Minus Kendal (NTS) and Oli Overdub (NARR) don’t cease to stop inspiring me :)

AM: What’s next for ya this year n beyond? 

Well… got a couple of pretty cool gigs lined up for the rest of this year. I will be playing b2b with I-sha next week for the Rhythm Works crew in Bristol, then at patterns the next week with Flytipper for The Secret Shade debut party!! I will also be hosting a couple parties here in Leeds for both Freedom Mills and THIRDSPACE, more to be revealed on that shortly ;)
