We are proud to present the fifth instalment of the Pal’s compilation, with talent from across the globe, coming together to create a collection to soundtrack these strange days.

First up, Aural Trace sets the scene with the slow burning celestial soundscapes of ‘Melange’, where choral overtones curl up snuggly along the drum machine, fusing organic and mechanics.

The influence of the Cologne School seeps through every pour of M Love’s ‘Oboda’ with warm analogue melodies oozing throughout. 
Churning distorted guitars twist between the throbbing tribal drums of Mufti’s 'Fascinatio'.

Marzian’s 'Conversaciones Delirantes' pulls us through a psychedelic shapeshifting bass heavy prism of sound. Sharp stabs cut through the bass on Flvn’s ‘Yule’, no mistake, this could soundtrack a slasher movie in-spite of its festive title.

Leo af Ekenstam’s ‘Stress’ carries a tense, yet driving groove punctuated by nervous guitars and shady atmospherics. 

A bubbling bit-crushed low end permeates Montessori’s 'Speed Dating’s dark EBM tinged muscular workout.

Stockholm Syndrome teams up with Lusca to craft a pumping retro synth infused stomper which twists and jitters from the opening bars to the last refrain.

Cabizbajo and Colossio also combine their production talent to create the cavernous feedback driven echofest of ‘Ley’ with twisted arpeggios and animal like sounds dancing in and around the drums.

Manner of Speaking play out with ‘the Unknown’, a brooding instrumental downtempo track which strikes a literal and figurative chord with the collective consciousness this past year.

When Greco-German couple Local Suicide and New York City native Curses met in Berlin, the epicenter of electronic music, their artistic chemistry was immediately obvious. This chance meeting resulted in several fructuous collaborations, with the latest being ‘Magia’, a dark and mysterious four-track EP. This release represents the perfect opportunity for the artists to take the genre-bending blend of 80’s new wave, dark disco and ghostly vocals that have earned their previous collaborations unanimous praise to a whole new level.
The EP comes after an impressively prolific year for the ever-busy Local Suicide powerhouse, following the release of their globally acclaimed debut album ‘Eros Anikate’ with collaborations with The Hidden Cameras, Lena Platonos, Theus Mago and Curses himself, as well as four remixes EPs featuring remixes by household names such as Adana Twins, Silicone Soul, Echonomist, Biesmans, Die Selektion and many more on top of a hectic touring schedule.
The multi-talented artist and head of the Ombra International label Curses also recently released his darkly romantic second album ‘Incarnadine’ with features from Jennifer Touch and Terr, following an acclaimed first album on Jennifer Cardini’s Dischi Autunno imprint. For this collaboration, he lends his distinctive sound signature that incorporates punk, Italo Disco, and EBM influences for a somber and nostalgic sound.
The EP’s title track ‘Magia’, immediately puts the listener under its spell with its dystopian atmosphere, as cold and distant voices echo eerily behind the relentless beat and unsettling looping synths, before layering up into an intense but also strangely hopeful soundscape.
The beautifully complex and moody ‘It All Sounds The Same’ then follows with its ethereal and ghostly vocals bleeding through the urgent rhythm. The alliteration of the lyrics contributes to creating an otherworldly, almost uneasy feeling echoed by the lonely voices lamenting that everything ‘sounds the same’.
The third track ‘Secret Friends’ opens up with cascading acid notes soon overtaken by the same driving beat as pulsing synths overlap each other in a frenzy while the vocals call out for a ‘secret friend’ with the seductive appeal of a mysterious, almost supernatural being.
Far from alleviating the tension that has been building up throughout the EP, the closing track, ‘Walk With Me’, feels like a frenzied and Lynchian musical descent into madness, as insistent notes become more and more distorted until they’re swallowed by the bassline and electric notes while barely human voices whisper menacingly, gasping and crossing overhead.
In true Local Suicide and Curses fashion, this EP feels like a masterfully crafted plunge into an unfamiliar world that will leave you wanting more. Tune in for the release on February 24th, 2022 via Local Suicide’s own label Iptamenos Discos.

Peo Watson and Mika Frojman have known each other for 20 years now. In 2004, they produced "Chicago 72” which was discovered in 2018 at the 'Cercle' of Solomun session due to Solomun playing it as an intro in his set. This got the 2 back to work and after that, they shown a lot of magnificent things. 
After their last successful EP Signs of Sorrow last year, they’re ready for something new. Dust & Blood, the brainchild of Damon Jee, together with Kimshies are ready to come up with superbly forward-looking and sleek new sounds that will take you through several dimensions.
Opener, ‘Blue Planet’, starts off with classic bass lines, stomping rhythms and a post-punk vocal, all competing in the unique challenge of pleasing the audience in a deep-thinking  way. 
Followed up by ‘Cortex Five Senses’, a ride you will not want to get off. This time the approach is more deeper, pacy and hypnotic. A clear vocal swirls comes closer and they are letting their unique grunge-vibe shine through. It is a number that stirs the body and gets people sweating, leaving the listener longing for more.
‘Trapped’ goes back to those slightly older roots. Starting with a classic beat and the robotized voice of Erick Faulkner to analogy soundscapes emanating from modular synthesizers. The end of the track will leave you floating.
As the 4th track starting with an thrilling beat followed by metronomic percussion's, a female voice and some guitar pieces from the wild west, that transports the listener to a daydream of futures past. This along with a horse-riding ending that defines the title ‘Cowboys Don't Cry’.
Last but not least there is ‘Coming Out’ that’s closing the EP. Overall a more sinister and tougher track that awakens your darker demons. No better way to end with industrial synths, drums, and martial beats bathed in darkness.
All this on the ‘Dust & Blood’ label. The work of art that Damon Jee has been working on for a long time and on which a lot of great content has already been released. The Blue Planet EP of the French duo will certainly not disappoint on its release on April the 7th.

Madric Based Rotten City Records present Damon Jee and Snem K's latest EP, Dear Humans. 
Damon AKA Jerome Da Silva has been on a run of hot form since recent remixes for ROAM and Night Noise and that run continues on his collaboration with Snem K which features remixes from Mugwump and Demian.
The title track is a record which keeps the groove rolling while taking on subject matter which could bum out a dancefloor; however, bubbly echo effects Damon's trademark beefy kick drum and Snem's overlapped vocal delivery ensures that no one will leave.
Big dramatic bassy punches sound as much like a war cry as it does an invitation to dance. Delay ridden toms and a booming rolling bassline accompany a vocal which questions humanity, at a point where questioning humanity is probably the most apt thing to do.

Theus Mago is the alter ego of Mexican producer Mateo González.

The tenth reference of the digital series of Dogs & Vultures Records is signed by the Mexican producer Montessori aka Alfredo Cardenas in collaboration with the producer,DJ and vocalist Badmoiselle (Montessori is also part of the FLXXX project and the Label Innisfallen Records with Andrés Gomez aka Andrem), . Aircraft Reel and Fanjoyen are the original cuts of the ep, built under a line clearly focused on the dance floor and with a fine balance between the early hours of the night or those of a good after. The remixes come in charge of the Mexicans Rigopolar and Colossio, both well known in the scene and with a great doing in all their productions. Also the Italians Younger Than Me, more focused this time on their sound '90's rave' than in previous productions, and the French Dombrance, component of the band DBFC and Recently interviewed by strong media like Vanity Fair or the television channel France 24 by the success of their new album, ''Raffarin'' they will also be able to listen to the work of DBFC in the Gucci Men's Fall / Winter 2014-15 Runway Show! White Magik is the new project of Saint Petersburg based DJ and producer Kirill Rem. Kirill is also known as a member of Russian kraut-techno/post-punk band Seven Knives (Ombra INTL), former member of disco collective Sportloto (Compost, Nang) and for his own projects Electrodynamique and Piezo.

Under the new alias, White Magik focuses on a pleasurable cocktail of EBM, new beat, early trance, electro and dark disco and gets the attention in the mixes of Tronik Youth, Future Bones, Roe Deers, K-Effect, Ali X & Ximena, as well as some heavy-weight EBM DJs around the globe. His tracks were remixed by Emile Strunz, Randolph & Mortimer, Brynjolfur, Moisees, Kitschy Kitsch, among others.

In order to have a better understanding about the new release, "Escape The Void" – coming soon on the acclaimed label Nein Records –, we have to revisit White Magik’s first EP: "Total Ego Loss" was the territory full of darkness where our imaginary hero loses his ego after falling in love with a black witch. Now, for the second phase, angels are coming to wake up his soul and help him to escape the void. This is the moment in which dark and light forces are fighting for the soul of our hero. Expect a heavy yet euphoric dance trip from the darkness to the light thru the mind, body and soul.

The track we decided to premiere, the remix made by "El Loco" Kitschy Kitsch, is so energetic that made us imagine a very tense moment in the plot: A stormy battle between good and evil, full of turnarounds and casualties on both fronts. A suitable soundtrack for such a crucial moment in the story. Acid and obscure as hell, Mr. Kitsch’s version will make your imagination flow.

Italian rising star Amarcord (SXDNS109) makes his debut on California-based ROAM with an Indie-Disco-Rock-infused EP, whose title – “A New Day Is Coming” – seems to state an optimistic forecast of our near future. After releasing on vital labels such as Correspondant, Ombra International, Watergate, Emerald & Doreen and Aeon, Amarcord brings three new originals including a collaboration featuring ROAM alumnus Mufti on the vocals of “The Time Is Running”. The EP also comes with a remix from label boss Jason Peters of the title track. 

The tune we chose to premiere, “Discoteca Nella Nebbia”, despite its relatively slow downtempo (110 BPM), is so energetic that your body will feel the urge to speed up the dance moves to catch on the intensity of the track. Powerful guitar riffs, upbeat drum fills and vibrant synth layers were creatively and seamlessly brought together by Amarcord in order to give birth to a unique and essential piece.
