Master Javier Busto (SXDNS076 as Dirt Track), Logical Records manager, is back with a stunning EP. "Acid Drop" is a full-on dark disco tune, with the usual and characteristic grooves by Javier. The cracking release comes with three standout remixes, which we think you'll agree raises the bar high; provided by some of the most acclaimed producers of the genre: James Rod (SXDNS099), Durand (SXDNS079) and Lusca.

Despite the immense quality of the remixes, we decided to premiere the imposing original itself. The very beginning with its stately bassline already shows the track is a must-have! The melodic synth layers and the ominous vocals are highlights we cannot forget to mention. The relatively slow 114 bpm brings you the possibility of starting your set with this beauty. Speed up a little bit more, and you can surely drop "the Drop" in the middle of it to make the attendees on the dance floor a little bit wild.

Gegen Mann - Flower Of Death (Stockholm Syndrome AU Guns Guns Guns Remix)

Italian artist Visionnaire's first release on our dear German label Emerald & Doreen Recordings celebrates his musical influences from Italian Wave and Dark Disco, taking a highly energetic club approach. The impressive pack of remixes provided by some of our favourite artists – Stockholm Syndrome (SXDNS165), Sunmantra, MAN2.0 (SXDNS081) and JackWasFaster – perfectly balances the power and melancholy of the originals while adding their own touches and interpretations.

"Shara" opens the EP with an impressive drive, space and robotic sounds, a track devoted to bringing trance and reverie to the dance floor. Despite its beauty and allure, we decided to premiere JackWasFaster’s version due to the boldness of his approach. First things first: He decided to slow down the original… considerably: From 117 to 106 BPM, to be more precise, which means some elements beamed up from the original to the remix were highlighted and thus can be better noticed, like the robotic layer. The guitar riffs and metallic FXs added by big Jack provide an obscure aura to his work. Killer remix here, peeps! "JackWasSlower", and we loved it!

With solid releases on Beat Is Murder, Nein, Musique Exotique, and ESTHÉTIQUE, Czech DJ and producer Andreas Rund has established himself as an "artist to watch" in the new Dark Disco/Indie Dance scene. After his collaboration on a previous release of Azaria on the very same Espacio Cielo, he is back on the Spanish label and good music powerhouse - excellently curated by Parissior - with "Due Absence", an EP that follows the dark line of his previous works and is brilliantly and insightfully remixed by Daniel Monaco (SXDNS137/FREEDL006) and ID_UA.

In the inspiring remix we chose to premiere, Kyiv-based artist Igor Dyeyev aka ID_UA decided to bring together some of his voodoo and tribal influences and combine them with melodic arpeggiated synth layers and a vast variety of percussive elements. The affluence of witchcraft, instruments (even didgeridoo-like riffs), and effects delivers a powerful theme and showcases the great talent of this creative Ukrainian producer.

[PREMIERE] Sex Kino - Something Inside Of You (Javier Martinez Remix)

The next EP of our Russian ambassador, Disco Morato (SXDNS147), will be released on his own label, the promising and darkness-devoted Maxima Culpa Records, which is also co-managed by Gegen Mann, another vital Russian artist. "Tredici", the seventh adventure of the imprint, features two bouncing originals and an almighty remix by Spanish producer WLDV. On all three themes, a dark-futuristic atmosphere prevails, turning the EP a must-have for the lovers of Dark Disco/Indie Dance.   

In many cultures, "tredici" ("thirteen" in Italian) is considered an unlucky number. The fear of the number 13 is called triskaidekaphobia, by the way. In others – China, France and Italy, for instance –, it represents luck. Well, we are lucky for having the opportunity of reviewing such a superb tune, and we believe that for Disco Morato it will bring lots of good fortune. Despite the heavy and obscure mood of the title track, the groove is intense, leaving no room for gloominess or bad vibes. "Tredici" is that kind of piece that makes you close your eyes and deliver yourself to its deepness. A piece of work with soul and personality committed to triggering on you that kind of happiness that only (good) music is capable of.

PREMIERE106 // Disco Morato - Tredici

His home and studio - an exquisite apartment set upon three floors, located in the city's first and oldest quarter - became a trove of all of his sculpted creations. The rooms, fitted with large opaque windows that stretched out across tall, off-white walls, were filled with over 200 sculptures of varying sizes, some made of chalk and some generated from now unfortunately oxygenated bronze. The statues, in pure neo-Renaissance style, depicted an array of classical figures enacting diverse hedonistic activities. Some were drinking, some dancing and others were coily sharing a delicate romantic moment, all coming together in a great, immobile gathering.

Playground Records celebrates its 30th release with label co-founder Martin Noise's newest output. The four-track EP, titled DUI, features two original productions and two remixes by Bufi and Middle Sky Boom. Today we share the latter's remix of 'Pis Turístic', an organic, quasi-ritualistic track that features entrancing percussion and a mesmerising bassline that is perfectly accompanied by fluttering synths.
