The beginning of the year for Logia Records (@logiarecords) is undoubtedly marked by the landing of the multifaceted Argentine artist Panko (@pankoba), co-founder of U'reguay Records, an Argentine-Uruguay based label that has burst onto the electronic scene in a forceful way.

“Electra” is an EP with hard sounds, with a strong Dark-Disco presence, with voices transformed like the sky during an electrical storm.

This release features a remix by Guyd, a French artist who gives his unmistakable European touch, an Acid Menace Remix by the great Mexican producer, a friend of the house, Ludviq, and closes with a remix by our Cu Da Curuxa.

The French powerhouse Critical Monday, competently curated by our dear friend Bonnie Spacey (SXDNS337), reaches the "Chapter 15" of its solid journey, and this time it's a hot and passionate one. Doing the honours, Paris-based rising and shining star I Promised Mom (SXDNS323). The Dark Disco mafioso, since his first appearance in 2021, has been delivering high-quality darkness-infused cuts published on respected imprints such as JEAHMON!, Voltaire Music, Inner Shah, and Ritual, for instance. For Critical, he handed over two sharp originals – "Radiate", in collaboration with Thomas Gandey, and "She's Intoxicating" – and invited Argentinian Favio Inker for a remix mission, successfully accomplished, by the way.

The track we chose to premiere is a peak-time beast by design. Smooth arpeggiated leads prepare the terrain for what is about to come: A wild and ferocious rock-infused synth layer devoted to wreaking havoc on the dance floor. If the title celebrates an inspiring muse we will never know, but the track itself is, oh yes, intoxicating!

Welcome Guatemalan artist 'Fabio Me Llaman Soltero' and TYU on remix duties, as well as welcome back Mijo and Alejandro Veneno.

The title track is an ode to the willingness and strength of Honduran people, a set of lyrics (crazy power, tastes rich, brave fight, sun's mirror) underpinned by a mischievous and heady mix of analogue wobbles and bleeps rubbing up against a slight but ever so slightly menacing drum pattern.

Slowly, Logia Records has been carving its name among the “labels to watch” in the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene. Ricardo Ruben (SXDNS103), Lucare (SXDNS175), Aurum Miles, Disco Mortale, and Man2.0 (SXDNS081) are, just to name a few, some of the artists who have already appeared on the Argentinian imprint. After solid releases during the infamous 2020, Logia kicks off 2021 with a pretty strong EP: Chinosynth’s “La Gran Ciudad” is a superb Indie Dance track that smells like the 80s and received outstanding remixes provided with love by DELLA (who also did the mastering), Favio Inker, XLR, and Renuna (FREEDL028) in collaboration with Playa Del Karma.

The remix we chose to premiere comes from the mind of creative DJ and producer XLR. The Oaxaca-based artist, whose more prestigious works were previously released on Controlla, Emerald & Doreen, and Maleante, brought his trademark Dark Disco-influenced sonority to the party in order to provide a stunning and more aggressive interpretation of the original theme.
