One of the most promising Argentinian talents lands for the first time on the accomplished Spanish label Espacio Cielo. Emmanuel Poulper (SXDNS146) has been having a busy year not only as a producer but also as an event promoter and a curator of the rising Quixotical Records. His “Fantasy” EP, through the combination of Latin, Indie, Dark, and Progressive elements, showcases his eclectic sonority and ratifies the enormous creativity of the virtuoso hermano. The sophisticated remixes provided by Moo Moonster (SXDNS054) and Parissior (SXDNS206) plus a collaboration with Tots, Logia Records kingpin, helped to turn “Fantasy” into one of the most interesting releases of the month in the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco genres.

Based on Poulper’s philosophy of always going forward, no matter what happens, “Yendo” is a track with a story. It was made in Argentina before the pandemic and expresses the feeling of a young artist, obsessed with his career and determined to make his dreams come true, regardless of the chaos we were then about to immerse in.

Respecting the attitude of the original, Madrid-based Moo Moonster provided a hellish interpretation, bringing his own aspirations to the theme and delivering a retro-infused and less dirty version with a Synthwave-meets-Hi-NRG atmosphere. In our humble opinion, a striking peak-time beast, peeps!

The 78th reference of the Golden Sould comes from their partner Azaria and their Brazilian colleague Hoochie Coochie Papa, who join forces to present "Aventador ep".

An ep with an acid character and uptempo bpm in between chugging and slow, these rhythms will introduce you to a direct trance, commemorating that the sun and the summer months are already here. These two guys of the waves, elevate the rave sound to the next level, two powerful energetic cuts and in acid key elaborated from Madrid & Brazil, what a combination.

The international trio, a collaborative project of Greco-German couple Local Suicide (@localsuicide) and Bavarian producer Kalipo (@kalipo-1), are set to return with a bundle of 16 remixes of their critically-acclaimed album ‘Rimini’ on April 28th, 2023. It ranges from EBM, New Wave, Italo Disco, Electro & Indie Dance to House & Techno and features stunning reworks by Alexander Robotnick, Daniele Baldelli & Marco Dionigi, Theus Mago, Oberst & Buchner, Schlepp Geist, Fabrizio Mammarella, Italo Brutalo, Radio Gaze, Carolain Luf, Mufti, Back From The Wave & T.M.A.

The prolific selector, producer and owner of the Italian labels Slow Motion and New Era Fabrizio Mammarella follows, lending his trademark experimental touch to the ‘Rimini’ remix. He shows off his exceptional technical talent with this exclusive track, twisting it to bring out faded vocals and mechanical undertones that evoke the inner workings of a dysfunctional machine.

The artists met at a rave in 2013 and have been pushing boundaries ever since with their unique blend of new wave, late 90’s electro, and elements of 80’s disco. Tel Aviv-based artist Yotam Russo (@yotam-russo) signs to Local Suicide’s label Iptamenos Discos and announces  his new ‘Twilight Zone Disko’ EP which will be out May 26th, 2023 on limited clear vinyl & digital. 

The 3-tracker is the Israelis most mature release to date and perfectly showcases his unique approach to modern electronic  dance music. Being known for his fusion of heavy drum machines with psychedelic guitars, acid melody-hooks and catchy  vocals he creates a rich spectrum of sound that takes listeners on a journey through a range of emotions and genres.Over time, he has cultivated a distinct style characterized by by an optimistic and upbeat vibe that is both nostalgic and contemporary. In this EP he expands his creative expression by adding meaningful text that resonates with his audience, making his music a powerful vehicle for storytelling. Whether this be via performing live or in the studio, Russo innovatively blends genres from Indie Dance, Synthpop, Dark Disco to House & Acid often referring to bands like LCD Soundsystem, Soulwax or The Faint. 

The EP's title track & first single ‘Twilight Zone Disko' is a punk approach to disco, with distorted vocals, and hypnotic synths,  it aims to make the listener feel like they’re never alone on the dance floor. The track's gradual ascent is driven by a  combination of the drum machine's rhythmic beats and the alluring lyrics, resulting in a psychedelic sound.

Italian duo Modular Project align their analogue gear and do what they do best in modernising nostalgic melodies and propelling them with punchy drums. After releases on Permanent Vacation, their own Nothing Is Real imprint, Motordiscs, hfn music and an edit for Jennifer Cardini’s Dischi Autunno, Modular Project release their debut on Exploited Club.

'It's Time' renders a vision of 90s hedonism as pupil-widening sequences bind with ecstatic pianos in a warm, rushing embrace. Thick, accurate drums give the track pace and power with claps and hats flickering overhead like strobes through fog. 

'Sex!' then rolls out a neat and classy groove as the sturdy bones of a Disco beat thump under a snake-hip bass, serrated acid line and bold, unfiltered piano chords.

'Echosphere' then dims the lights as swooning vocals (by Lattedoro) and glacial stabs are draped over snappy, broken drums. Modular manipulation drives the growth of the track as it blooms across an Intergalactic trip rounding off a varied but cogent record that speaks to the core of Exploited's ethos.

Relish Compilation VII features tracks and remixes by AHEADACHEADAY, ELIEZER w/ Zillas on Acid and Dangur, M Love, Headman, Mufti feat. Vongold, Franz & Shape and Modular Project.

The Compilation starts off with Alberto de Angeli aka AHEADACHEADAY. A dark slow motion synth laden track with Burundi beat undertones. 
Tel Aviv’s Eliezer collaborated w/ Zillas on Acid on Anna Bella. The vocals are by Isadora. The song is trippy, hypnotic and percussive.
M Love’s Price is his 3rd release on Relish. New World was featured on REPIX. New Wave and Krautrock infused techno for the momentarily absent dancefloors.This time a bit harder and less melodic. Devoleb is a new Headman track. The original idea was to rework an old track, but while working on it something new came out. The track is an example of Post Punk Disco, 808 drummachines and Basslines that reminds one of Motorik retro futurist funk. Crimson is by Eliezer and Dangur with again vocals from Isadora. This version is a bit more uptempo, again with a tribal nearly ethnic feel with guitars and percussion that slide in and out dubbing everything. Mufti feat Vongold contributed already on REPXI. False Guru has a similar  Mexican underground vibe, dark arpeggio synths, driving drums and  mystic vocals by Vongold.
Headman’s Be Loved original version was released in 2011. First remixed by Daniel Avery on the homonymous single. Modular Project remixed the version again and turned it into a high energy dark Giorgio Moroder-esque interpretation keeping loads of sounds and the poppy vocals from the original. Franz & Shape who have been part of Relish since the early days contributed N.u.m.b.. The vocals are by Matt Southall from the UK band Officers. The remix is by Croatian electronica producer Petar Dundov. He added vocoders and gave a nice retro-italo feel to the original version.
