We have already premiered themes fruit of the collaboration between flatmates, friends, couples… but this is the first time we have the opportunity of reviewing the work fashioned by father and son: Cmix & Creeg teamed up once again to bring to life “High Impact”, their debut release on the rising Brazilian label Print ID. On the remix duty, the also Brazilian and also rising artist MeMachine, who delivered a spot-on version of the title track.

While Creeg, the heir, has just started giving the first steps of his career, Cmix, the pappy, has a journey that started a few decades ago. The seasoned producer has been flirting with trippy and darkness-infused cuts for quite some time – and that’s exactly the kind of sonority he has been tutoring his son.

The track we selected to premiere reveals what the established/promising duo is capable of. Energetic, upbeat, melodic, and well-constructed, “Exhale” is a super fat-basslined arpeggio-based tune whose positive message invites you to go nuts on the dance floor.

Critical Monday’s Chapter 17 is coming hot! Italian Mattia Pompeo and Hungarian Ferenc Topa aka SNYL teamed up to deliver a dark-matter-infused EP featuring two well-constructed originals – three if you consider the instrumental version of “Innocent Silence” a completely independent piece – and a sharp remix by Alexey Union. Oh, before we forget: The beautiful vocals on the release are by none other than ANGST vor GRETA (SXDNS341).

This is the first time Mattia & Ferenc get together for a collaboration. Despite having a similar sonority nowadays, the lads hail from different music backgrounds. While the former uses his House Music influences as source of inspiration, the latter relies on his Techno roots. The result of this interesting concoction is a cosmic & groovy output devoted to please even the most demanding partygoers out there.

Premiered here, “Windjammer” is a savoury and melodic theme with a trippy atmosphere and an upbeat gait. The mildly distorted synth layer combined with the arpeggiated lead and bouncing bassline culminated in a must-have cut that pairs well not only with dark clubs but also with sunny open airs. The most demanding partygoers of both soirees will be pleased.

After releasing on the AFFKT's imprint "SINCOPAT" and collaborating with Mundo D (releasing some stuffs and remixing the only one Darlyn Vlys), Victor delivers here two complementary pieces.

"Maybe it's Love" tells us a beautiful indie story. The hyper positive melody is carried by a perfectly balanced rhythm, interspersed by FX straight out of the 80's. Love is in the air ?

The break & dance hit "I don't know", hyper grooving and festive, is enhanced by the voice of the vocalist Neburo, making the track more intimate and giving it a New Wave touch.

Who better than Captain Mustache himself to sublimate "Maybe It's Love" …? The french producer, propelled in 2022 by a fantastic series of good releases on Bedrock or Kompakt to name a few, literally transforms the original in an electronic body banger !

We're really happy to finally share this release coming directly from Brazil! ID ID and Mau Maioli offer us two massive weapons with Ddance et Cellos. Ddance is catchy from the very first second, and its voice naturally leads us to dance. Cellos has more of a nostalgic vibe thanks to its synth layers but is still a very powerful track.

On the remix duties, Badwolf delivers us a more minimalist and dark version of Ddance, but just as strong as the original.

No doubt that this release greatly reflects the sound of Critical Monday.

Marc Martinez Nadal, aka AFFKT, consecrated a music career and has been a driving force behind a vivid and empowering sound that is refined by his drive for perfection. He feels in deeply in communion with sounds that range from the most energetic hyper-glossy techno to the most detailed and innovative indie-electronica. Having worked on coining the sound of this alias since 2008, it has been a plethora of sounds, places, persons and cultures that has provided a platform for AFFKT to experiment with his output. He serves huge electronic crossover masterpieces that derive into the many sub-genres of music via key imprints such as Pets Recordings, Multinotes, Mobilee, Last Night On Earth, Disco Halal, Needwant, Exploited or Culprit and his very own Sincopat label.
