Clubland is filled with duos, sometimes they grew up sharing bunk beds, sometimes they met on a dancefloor, or sometimes -as with Lord Fascinator & Kate Stein- they met on a tropical island after one had commissioned the other to create several giant monsters for a music video. 

Fast forward through ten years of costumes, chemicals, religious art projects and "Mad Max yoga retreats", they have finally cemented their relationship in the studio with their Primary EP, 4 tracks of psychedelic synth-pop, cowboy disco and cosmically inclined iridescent electronica.   

First up is country touched club banger Horse House, a track that combines a galloping hypnotic house beat and pulsating synths with all manner of Morricone'esque whistles, lonesome guitar twangs, equine snorts and, of course, the repeated chant that "there's a horse in this house". 

The track may have started life as a joke but its effect on dancefloors has been anything but and Horse House joins the select ranks of other fine western themed classics that have curiously littered the history of club music.

Now residing in Madrid, Yerno Vil has adopted a refreshing approach to music production, moving away from computer-generated sounds to fully immerse himself in the world of analogue synths and drum machines. The result is a raw, organic sound that seamlessly blends psychedelic breakbeats, cosmic textures, and dark, groovy rhythms, all designed to set the dance floor alight. The EP is further enriched by remixes from the likes of Viktoria Jauregui, Alvaro Cabana & frankydrama, and Roy Heyman.

Delving into Viktoria Jauregui’s revision, one can’t help but be captivated by her deep and immersive rework. Jauregui, a rising star in Argentina's underground scene, has masterfully crafted an interpretation that features bouncing basslines and ritualistic synths, creating a hypnotic late-night atmosphere perfect for the intelligent dance floors out there. This remix is a testament to Jauregui's growing influence and skill in the electronic music landscape.

Brazilian producer Niev debuts on Mexican imprint Duro Label with a three-track EP exploring the depths of acid house.

Duro Label proudly announces the release of "Mariokarlos EP," the latest production from Brazilian artist Niev, an emerging force in the electronic scene from Ribeirão Preto who has been making waves in experimental music since 2020.

The EP, consisting of three original tracks, represents a deep dive into acid house territory while maintaining Niev's characteristic essence of blending electronic elements with Brazilian influences. The EP includes the title track "Mariokarlos," followed by "Ciao (Stripped Mix)" and "Wannabe," each exploring different nuances within the genre.

Niev, known for his work with Radio Vitrine and The Last Baba Disco Studios, brings to this release his distinctive musical perspective, shaped between 80's nostalgia and contemporary influences from Russian and Middle Eastern music. His ability to weave traditional and cutting-edge elements is reflected in each of the EP's cuts.

"Mariokarlos EP" marks Niev's debut on Duro Label, solidifying the Mexican imprint's presence in the international house music scene and reinforcing its commitment to innovative sounds and bold proposals.
