However, there was one machine—an old lathe—who refused to surrender. At first, it creaked and sputtered when the new software was installed, its wheels grinding against the sleek interface. But as the new technology clicked and whirred around it, something extraordinary happened: the lathe began to adapt.

It shimmered beneath the glow of the floodlights.

Emerging from a December of DJ booths, the duo Gold Suite sought refuge in the January quiet, inspired by the rapid creation of '70s library music. Joey envisioned scoring a resort lost in time, while Laura provided newfound bass lines. This led to "Analog Swell," later graced with a live kit, and the vocal breakthrough of "Coast Along." These simple, evocative tracks mark a creative turning point, offering listeners a minimalist portal to their timeless escape. Featuring remixes by Dan Idjut and Yarni, the “Gold Suite” EP is coming hot to join the kaleidoscopic catalogue of the acclaimed French label Citizens Of Vice.

Premiered here, "Coast Along" is a sun-drenched Balearic gem that perfectly captures the essence of a carefree summer. The track is both relaxing and subtly upbeat, built on a warm, melodic foundation that invites immediate immersion. African Shaketown and Caribbean Shaketown EPs, the third installment, Balearic
Shaketown, delivers four irresistible edits and remixes of classic ‘80s pop gems - lovingly
reimagined by MAGIC JAMS for today’s dancefloors.

ABOUT MAGIC JAMS
Berlin-based DJ and producer David Benjamin (aka MAGIC JAMS) has been moving
dancefloors for nearly 30 years with his extraordinary mixing skills and otherworldly
selections. A former 10-year resident of Wilde Renate, he’s known for his legendary allnight
sets and timeless journeys through Disco, Balearic Beat, House, and the music of
the African diaspora.
His edits and productions — from the massive African Shakedown to the Shaketown Edits
