No sabemos muy bien cómo lo ha conseguido, pero en esa dirección ha logrado hacerse un hueco inclasificable en la escena. Salvaje, adictivo, acid, siempre ready. Su sets impenitentes, su trabajo de fondo y desdramatización constante, han conseguido salvarle y hacer de su reality show electrónico, un arte. 

Ahora, Carlos, vuelves con un nuevo release y mix en exclusiva para Mixmag Spain, después de una trayectoria explosiva, sobre todo, estos dos últimos años pandémicos, que han sido apabullantes, pasando por labels como Panal Records y coronado con un trabajo junto a Marzian en el sello berlinés ODD Pleasures. 

Eres incombustible, y veo que el eclecticísmo, la intensidad y la energía, en cada una de las pistas, vuelve a estar presente, pero esta vez, con una línea narrativa más progresiva y cuidada.

Black Flamingo Disco Driver is a vinyl activist and musical critic for DJ Mag of Spanish/Chilean origin. In 2000 he moved to Barcelona, where he discovered clubs such as Florida 135, Nitsa, Razzmatazz and later BeCool, spaces where he absorbed the club culture, awakening a deep investigation of rhythms from the past and drawing a path towards the figure of the DJ as a multidisciplinary artist and rich in sound diversity.

During this period, until 2009, he looked for a more personal sound in the electronic music realm, approaching musical fields like Ambient, Disco, Leftfield, Slow Techno, IDM, New Wave, EBM and Electro. Currently, the sound he exhibits walks with the idea of connecting the roots of black music with contemporary sounds.

After almost 20 years of musical experience, he is now considered one of the artists with the greatest national projection. He is half of the Electric Selectors project, events in which he is committed to promoting young national talents and has recently become a member of United Colors Of Rhythm, label which is about to publish their first musical productions.

He has played at Razzmatazz, Be Cool, Feinstoff (Berlin), Crack Bellmer (Berlin), Operator (Rotterdam), Rinse Fm (Paris), Florida 135, Row 14, Clubzoreks, Subma, Kode, BigBang, Artecht, LimitClub, Flash, MinusaClub, Sala (Futura) Ribadeo Lugo, Pitch Techno Club, Las Armas, Festival H2zone, Urban Rave (Chile), Espacio 93, Reset Club, Solart Sonique, just to name a few highlights of his vast career.

Argentinian guy Damian aka Skelesys is a versatile, ever-evolving and particularly cutting-edge artist. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, he has freshly settled in the creative surrounding of Berlin. Besides his passion for painting, electronic music has become the center of his artistic life – so he’s a producer and live act with a strong musical background inspired by Hard Rock, Post-Punk, Synth Pop, Coldwave and science fiction or horror movies. Playing drums in the age of three became his first love. After several years of playing in live bands, producing electronic music has opened a whole new world to him that would change his way of hearing, composing and feeling music.
His sound can be defined as haunted, functional and effective, as a result of a delicate and neat mixture of post-punk, coldwave, italo disco with techno. Marked basses are accompanied by thrilled melodies and subtle grooves, surrounded with a touch of darkness and a stripped down futuristic vibe – not afraid of experimenting and looking deep into the void between the senseless and the rhythmic.

Biography, by Luis Costa: Of Hispanic / Chilean origin, he has been a compulsive digger of vinyl since 1997, dj, promoter and editor / Of Spanish / based in Berlin / vinyl activist since 1997 / Electric Selectors / United Colors Of Rhythm / Musical critic on Dj Mag and MIxmag.

De origen Hispano/Chileno, es un digger compulsivo del vinilo desde 1997, dj, promotor y editor / crítico musical en Dj Mag / Mixmag.

El año 1999/2000 será clave para BFDD, se traslada a vivir a Barcelona donde descubre clubs como Razzmatazz, Nitsa o BeCool, templos electrónicos donde absorbe toda la cultura club de la época; Despierta así en él una profunda investigación en sonidos del pasado y traza su plan maestro en la búsqueda de su propio discurso como dj y productor. Actualmente asume el reto de conectar las raíces de la música negra con el sonido contemporáneo en una amalgama muy variada de registros musicales que conforman su viaje sonoro.

Durante dos décadas de bagaje en la escena nacional, pinchando de aquí a allá y explorando su propio camino, manejando estilos como el disco, leftfield, techno, idm, new wave, ebm o electro, es uno de los artistas con más proyección nacional. Es parte de los proyectos: Festival LESF, Various Artists y Electric Selectors, club itinerante donde se apuesta por promover el joven talento emergente.

Tras un meteórico y excitante 2019/20, ha compartido cabina con artistas como: Map.ache, Freudenthal, Pardon Moi, Paula Tape, John Tejada, Alejandro Paz, Serge Santiago, Alvaro Cabana, Fernanda Arrau, Luis Costa, Fatal, Gela o Daniel Monaco entre muchos otros...
