B1] Anastasia Zems & Radial Gaze - All Things Done (Chinaski remix)

The praised “Acid Avengers” series of the Brittany-based label Tripalium Corp reaches its thirtieth edition. A massive landmark, we would say. For the occasion, the French powerhouse welcomes none other than three beloved duos: Starting with the one & only Italian superstars Hard Ton (SXDNS176) in collaboration with brilliant Latvian everybody’s darling Queer On Acid, and British second-to-none Posthuman. The gang came up with a stunning four-track vinyl – plus a digital bonus – “mixing vicious Techno, hypnotic 303 lines, Acid House gimmicks, and psychedelic vocals.” As you might have imagined, the beasts here are intended for exclusive dance-floor use. Living room administration may trigger unexpected reactions from your neighbours: They will either call the police or join you for a little indoor (never-killed-nobody) bender, depending on the kind of people who surround your dwelling.

Premiered here, “B_Ass” is one of the most dangerous cuts of the soiree because of its, yeah, “motherf*cking bass”, as mentioned in the minimalistic but imposing lyrics delivered by Hard Ton’s Max vital entrance. It’s truly remarkable how he always manages to offer spot-on vocals for the duet’s productions. Psychedelic synth layers and a sharp acid line complete the theme, one of the highlights of the EP.

Mexican label Kyma Komplex welcomes emerging artist Oto Veltauri, with his debut LP, "Dark Celebration”. a solid, electrifying journey. Influenced by the experimental works of Georgian composer Natela Svanidze and her groundbreaking piece "Epitaphium" (1974), Oto Veltauri explores into modular synthesis sounds from outside this dimension.

"Dark Celebration" blends musical genres, incorporating elements of lo-fi, acid, dark, and hypnotic vibes to create a powerful and introspective voyage. From the nostalgic sounds of 1980s drums to the pulsating basslines and ethereal samples, each track offers something distinctive and captivating.

Featuring four tracks performed on a vintage Moog Modular synthesizer from the 1960s, "Dark Celebration" showcases Oto Veltauri's evolution as a musician. While the tempo may have slowed compared to previous works, the tracks on this LP are characterized by their voluminous and varied compositions, offering a dynamic listening experience.

Melomana Records celebrates its 40th reference, with a round EP titled “Time” by the Mexican DJ living in France, Leonor. He has released on several labels and his music has reached top positions on Beatport and Juno.

The title track, “Time,” sets the tone for her with its most hypnotic rhythms and enveloping melodies that evoke a feeling of constant movement through time. "Educate" keeps us in suspense, with its energetic mix of synths and infectious rhythms that invite the listener to immerse themselves in the atmosphere. “Prince of Watusi,” a collaboration with Neskeh, adds an extra layer of depth with its mix of futuristic sounds and mysterious atmospheres. The remixes of "Time" and "Educate" by Gameboyz and Diskontrol respectively, add a twist to the original songs, offering a pyrotechnic, overwhelming and exciting performance.

Olivier DB's first EP, titled "What U Want?", will be released on June 12th under the Epicure Records label Pavillon.

Olivier dB is a French born DJ & producer based in San Diego. His music draws inspiration from 80’s italo, electro, house & new wave.  

Fusing retro melodies with funky driven rhythms that evoke feelings of nostalgia.  Each set is an ever-changing journey through crate-digging, world sounds and eclectic exploration.

This original track is an engaging and dreamy composition, blending deep melancholy with palpable romance. With disco influences, "What U Want?" fits perfectly both in the dynamic atmosphere of clubs and on a romantic drive along the California coast.

The track is accompanied by four remixes from French DJ Prinze, German DJ Paradiso, and Italian DJs La Kena and Eliogold.

LVCA and Otis have been raised on the sounds of their homeland, adopting its analogue sound while adapting it to their own style. The result is a brooding mix of addictive lines and vocoder fire.

 “Ritmo Electronico” opens with a steel-edged snare driving smeared synths through the city dusk, robotic lyrics menace this sleazy neon-stained scene of cracked mirrorballs and flaring machines. 

Listeners are pulled into the underbelly of A Promise In The Cold Night with the murky “Tanzen”. Alex Vincent’s words are shrouded in glitch, bright burbling bars and a clean clap offering a path of light to help the listener navigate their way. 

The true coldness of the night arrives with the stabbing keys of “Synthesised Emotion”. Through a haze of hi-hats, an electrical smoke of blacks and greys fizz with juddering volts as passions pour through cable and wire. That haze grows thick in the close. 

Through a mist of distortion, a “Sphere Of Light” penetrates. Pin-pricks of percussion are dowsed in aquatic tones before a syrup of static is poured across proceedings, lost vocals ghost in this fog of bending bodies and forms.

With this EP, built around the concepts of life, death and the afterlife, he wanted to explore themes that go behind our grasp of reality, such as cosmos, frequencies and energies, traveling endlessly through space and time, and how they’re all linked to our own existences.

PREMIERE: Lavion - Dance In The Dark [Ulla Records]

Vertigini is the alias of a prodigious talent. To date, Arthur Mukharlyamov’s infectious hooks have only been available digitally. Bordello A Parigi are more than excited to give this analogue alchemist his full vinyl debut. Four tracks make up the aptly named Thunder. The title piece rumbles from speaker cones, thick banks of bass and crisp rhythms crack before smooth strings give way to flashes of melodic radiance. Inspiration lies in the heavens with this EP, he’s leaving the bonds of earth for “Galaxy Funk”. Textured percussion is cut with acid grooves while generous breaks fuel this expedition. A fierce arpeggiator immediately ignites the flip, lancing beats pierce this burbling bulwark as honeyed notes melt in the muscled sweetness of “Final Space”. The journey back to Earth is imminent, but not without one final fun-filled flurry. Rich drum patterns are the foundation for the sticky groove of “Space Trip”. Vocals echo skyward while Vertigini weaves a dancefloor delight to ease re-entry to reality.

Fernanda Arrau is a DJ/producer from Chile, based in Madrid. She has been a regular name in the most important clubs of her native Santiago, contributing to the development of the current underground scene in Chile and in the rest of Latin America. On the respected Chilean electronic Label ‘Pirotecnia’ she published her first two works: “Cambio/Fuera” (2015) and “A Larga Distancia” (2016) with very good reception, being nominated for best Chilean electronic artist on 2 occasions at the Pulsar Awards (renowned music awards in Chile). In 2019, she released her last two productions “Neo House” on her label United Colors of Rhythm and “Cook” for the Canadian label YUNG DUMB Records.

Her sound moves between techno, house and electro, influenced by the synthesizers of the 80s, bright boxes and Latin rhythms. Warm and enveloping sounds that have opened the way also in Madrid, playing in the best clubs of the Spanish capital. Her new project, United Colors of Rhythm label, wants to contribute to the development of the scene not only in Spain but also across Europe with a new musical and artistic proposal.
